Patty had a lot of trouble with Karin Knapp today; it's hard to imagine she's going to be able to worry Maria much.

I didn't mean who was more likely to win, I meant who I'd prefer to lose.

I didn't mean who was more likely to win, I meant who I'd prefer to lose. Oh! Of course; what was I thinking? Well I'd definitely prefer the Shriek Queen to lose. I enjoy her new Canon ad, but not her tennis. Then Batty could lose in the next round and all would be well.

One never knows with Batty. I definitely think she has a shot to beat Maria. You can't put too much into Maria's usual easy wins in early rounds because she just overpowers players.
Niky-Fatty is gonna be a fun clay match. If it doesn't go 4 hours at least, I'll be disappointed.

That's a shame. I really do want to watch it. I doubt we'll get it on TV, anyway. It will be on during NBC's coverage, and replaying Maria and Serena's matches for the 3rd time, takes precedence.

Tomorrow is motorcycle day on Eurosport, so Kolya vs Dave will probably be the only match we'll see on TV.

Strangely, I think I favor Patty. Maria still sucks on clay. But who knows ... Schnyder never does anything at the Majors, so she'll probably lose.
I'd like The Saf to beat The Chak.
Peer and Kuznetsova must play every tournament, right?
It would be delightful for Ana to lose to AMG. Corswandt would adore that!
I am so hoping for Garbin.
Jelena did us all the big favor. May she advance to the semis and lose another tense three setter to JH-H.
Come on, Dinara. DO SOMETHING.
Ac tually, no. She should lose and give us Serena-Justine.
Roar.

Didn't expect Safina to do much today. I like her, but for almost a year now her results have been solid and not much else.
Garbin got annihilated. She probably played worse than she did against Peer in Miami. Even with this QF that the draw handed out to her, Vaidisova will finish RG ranked something like #15.
It would take a miracle for PFC Peer now.
On court 5, there's an Argentinian junior girl who is actually called "Gordo".

Ivanovic hit 5 aces in 2 games. But, her groundies are not looking too spectacular at the moment and this could be a long, long match...

Robredo vs Volandri must have been fun. Robredo up was against the pocket version of himself, even down to the gear.
Eurosport will probably show Maria vs Schnyder instead of Dave vs Kolya. I think Maria will probably retire if her shoulder is bothering her too much.
Safarova is proving me wrong. I didn't expect her to do well at all at RG.

meh Monaco-Willy. I guess it would be too delusional to expect any women's matches on South American ESPN when an Argie is playing

Jankovic v Bartoli was so easy for JJ (though to be fair Bartoli was injured (AGAIN)) that she did her make-up at changeovers.
