Hurley! Did you enjoy Tipsarevic's win over Safin? I have a feeling Serena will win, and then go on to meet Maria in the final. And win 6-1 6-0. Can JJ break Vaid's serve?

The only women's match that seems clearcut is Screech Queen over Anna.
I think Serena will beat Justine, because she's in her head, as we saw all too clearly in Miami. The only hope for Justine is if Carlos somehow works his magic and gets Justine's head in the right place before the match. He's had a couple days to accomplish this; we'll see if that's enough ... if she loses because of her head, though, I've got to congratulate Serena.

Go Nikki! Reach the SF. Then, I'm confident he'll defeat Roger!
The women's matches will not be good.

Can JJ break Vaid's serve? Darth Vaida has trouble breaking Jankovic's serve even when she's playing well, so 1/2 breaks on each set should be enough for Jankovic to win - and if Jankovic managed to break Venus, who was often serving at 190+ km/h, this should be no problem. And it shouldn't even come to that; I mean, Darth Vaida makes more wild UEs in a game than Jankovic in a match. I hope the Wrestler beats the Schoolboy, and thus either Jankovic or Cruel Corporate Clone Shriekapova become #1. Cañas will probably reach the final and get whomped 2, 1 and 2 by Rahfuh-Ill Nudd-Ahl.

this is the worst RG in the last 10 years, the only thing one could call exciting matches have been sharapova-schnyder and Djoko-patience
Kuznetsova has the tactical nous of Blake, Fat Spaniard, PHM and igor rolled into one.

What an ugly nervy match between Serena and Justine so far Sad when this is the best that the two best players on tour can do against each other Serena should win though, she'll stay level with Justine and then pull away at the end of the set

Nice match from Justine, though it wasn't as tough as it should have been. She started out right on her game and did not let up; just the shortest of lapses in that 2nd set ...
But very disappointing effort from Serena. Maybe JH is in her head as much as she is usually in JH's head.

Ana's 1st set today was scary. When she goes into demolition mode like that she's almost impossible to stop.
Jankovic almost ruined everything by turning into a passive bystander on court while serving for the match and especially on match points. She tends to do it a lot, and I fear it will be the same against Justine. If she manages to take a lead in that match in the first place, of course.

Of all the bits we got coverage of, only Ana looked good throughout (though we didn't get coverage of that middle set) everyone else was tense and chokey.
bizarre meltdown by Serena at the end

But very disappointing effort from Serena. Maybe JH is in her head as much as she is usually in JH's head. I don't see that anybody is in anybody's head. It's Euro clay. Who did you expect to win, simply based upon what you knew going in about the two players on clay? Because she won today, for the fourth time in five matches against Serena on dirt. You are right about that being a disappointing effort from Serena, Janie, and that is surely how Serena will see it herself. Now I see Justine hefting her fourth title in five years. She would be the first to do three in a row here since Seles in '90-92 ... Her semi against Jelena is where the last few weeks come into play, methinks. If Jelena had put away Justine in that match in ... Rome? I'd be more confident she could do it again. By the by, they are quickly developing a Hingis-Testud relationship. As for the prospective final ... I don't think Ivanovic or Sharapova can beat Justine at Roland Garros. I mean, it's possible, but unlikely, I think. It'll be fun to watch it unfold.

Yes, I did expect Serena to win because I always expect my favorite players to lose. It'll be fun to watch it unfold. Yeah, it will! If Jelena beats JH I can live with that, but I'd really hate to see that screaming banshee beat her, so if those 2 play the final, I'm going to be nervous as well as pessimistic!
