No. Go Mara. Grass should be her surface with her unique game.

SportTV coverage broke off at 19:00. They stuck with Centre Court, so I got all of the Nudd-Ahl vs Fish horror show (how on earth did a player like Fish reach the top 20?) and none of the excitement. They finished with the last set of Maria's match.
Mauresmo looked sharp. Jackson looked fat.
Maria's serve didn't look like so much of a liability anymore, but it tends not to look so until she meets an aggressive returner. Plus her ground game went away for long stretches of the set.

Venus almost lost to Alla Kudryavtseva and you want her seeded #6? Get real. She lost in the third round last year, if you recall. Beat me to it. Venus should be seeded according to her ranking, like everyone else. Which would put her at #30. And she almost finished this tournament 65th (tied). Yes, let's clearly seed her Top Eight.

You know, apparently Wimbledon didn't learn from the WTA's experience with giving special seedings to the sisters Williams. Playing with the seeds is stupid. Always.
