Tracy Austin talking about how the scoreline Justine is coming up with is that this is an unusual match in this era because of all the depth. These were scorelines we saw with Steffi Graf and Monica Seles. She then went on to mention how Serena, Venus, Sveta, and Martina were all pushed in their opening matches.

Kimmie's early round results always debunked that notion. So, now I have one reason to miss her.

Hasn't been commented on here: (32) M Muller d. A Smashnova 60 60 Missed a dandy there. And yeah, you shouldn't have retired here, Anna. What were they thinking? Clearly Muller should have been seeded in the top 16.

I was shocked to see Doushevina finally got a serve. She had nothing in Dubai '6. Or maybe, the grass is deceiving as BrinYi's theory proposes.

Mighty Mouse double bagelled Smashnova. I'd celebrate but I am afraid Anna might have had some personal tragedy that explains the scoreline and I would feel terrible for a couple of hours. This was Anna's last match ever. So it's a personal victory for all of us, isn't it?

...Really? www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/news/match_reports/2007-06-27/200706271182962644656.htmlJelena Jankovic wasted little time in dispatching Jamila Gajdosova 6-1, 6-1 in just 48 minutes to stay on course for her second Grand Slam final inside a month.
Jankovic, the third seed and runner-up at the French Open two weekends ago, looked in complete command as she eased herself into the third round with a display of power tennis which left the 20-year-old Slovak stunned.Really. Really? ...Really?

Yes, she lost to Clijsters in the final. << French Open champion Henin, who won advanced to the third round earlier today, played her match with black strapping on her lower right leg which she said was to combat tendinitis. "I've started to get a little bit of tendinitis in my right foot and it's been bothering me in the last few days," top seed Henin said, adding it was not affecting her game. >>
