Um, I invented Penis and Vagina Genitals in like 1998. Because it's awesome, and they are giant assholes.

Not that the anus is a genital.

Also. This Drew Lilley character, who is blogging both here and during RG on the official sites, has ripped off all of our humor. I smell a lawsuit coming on.

"Virginie Rezai"? Ay yi yi, shut up, Chris Fowler. Enough reason for me to send complaint e-mail #15421 to ESPN to get Fowler far away from tennis.

The guy on BBC called her Anabel Rezai.

Venus. Why do people want to follow the lead of one cretinous poster and call her penis. Or are we all back in 3rd grade. YOU are the problem. Anyone who likes both sisters needs to have his/her head examined or just jump off a cliff to remove yourself from the genepool.

Hell, either!
I mean, I think we'd avoid the obvious nicknames that their parents set them up for had they also not raised them to be such intolerable bitches.

The guy on BBC called her Anabel Rezai. At least that guy saw the capital A and took a wild guess. Fowler saw the A and immediately thought "VIRGINIE!" All those French look alike, eh Chris? RACISM.

Um, I invented Penis and Vagina Genitals in like 1998. And I'm sure your parents must be very proud. They're probably on the phone with Oracene and Richard right now, exchanging mutual congratulations on the raising of such genius offspring. :ass:

Oy. Another e-mail.

No Play on Middle Sunday Irrespective of the amount of play today on the middle Saturday (30 June), the AELTC can confirm that we are sufficiently on schedule and that there will be no play tomorrow (Sunday 1 July). Wimbledon Yeah, so about half the field still has to play their 3rd round matches... which means 5 matches in 6-7 days. And it will rain more. It's bad enough with the stupid tradition of "Super Monday". Yeah, it's a great idea to put all the quality R16 matches on at the same time so we can't watch most of them. I hate Wimbledon.

Oh come on, Janie. Even you must see the comedy in your getting in a tizzy over other posters being silly and using petty nicknames when picking on certain players, no?

The no-play-on-the-middle-Sunday "tradition" never stops being completely retarded. I can handle the dress code. While it's also fairly retarded, it has minimal bearing on the rest of the tournament. Removing an entire day of play from a Slam that is already notoriously rain plagued is just absolutely mind numbing. I really, really, really, really think that Wimbledon totally blows.

dress code is fine
No play on Sunday is, yes, the most stupid thing ever in tennis.
And we've used Penis since like, forever. It's the best nickname ever, after Tier Iva!

I'm not in any tizzy, though that sounds like fun. And I maintain that my player nicknames are all better than penis, which is only a nickname because it rhymes, while Shriek Queen, for example, makes an explicit statement and is thus superior. ;D Anyway I'm used to the fact that no one on this board can bear Venus or Serena; it's always been that way here. But now and then it gets a little irritating to me, especially after a night of 4 hours sleep.

I think Penis makes an explicit statement, considering. Uh oh! Tier IVA fight coming up, because I INVENTED THAT TOO.

Yeah, I was watching the Open just before, it's on NBC. They're almost as far behind as Wimbledon Angela Park is up by two strokes after the second round was finished earlier today. Tennis is on ESPN2.

Fatriati's not bad. When I first went to y'all's board, I remember being irked by "Mauresman". But I only lasted about a week on that board, since sid's board was still going then I think. Or was it CNNSI. Women's golf on network tv?? What a shocker! I would never have looked there! The last major was ONLY on the Golf Channel. I thought they were down and out when I saw that. PS You guys who live in apts are lucky. Our washer just emptied out on the basement floor.

NOT ONLY DID YOU NOT INVENT TIER IVA, YOU DIDN'T EVEN GET IT THE FIRST TIME I SAID IT BECAUSE IT WAS SO DAMN CLEVER! KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE And you know, perhaps you were the 'cretinous poster' Janie was referring to. I miss Tier Iva, actually. Remember when she won Charleston? That was stupid.
