Sure it's not the draw we have wished for him. But I don't know I see it also as a chance for him. Couse he really has nothing to lose. And despite beeing the nr. 3 seed he's clearly the underdog in that group. So he should be able to play his tennis without any pressure at all. And then we will see who has the last laugh!!
Goooo Roger gooo!! You can do it!!

Well, it's time for Rogi to reverse his results vs. :ass: and Nalby, right? Why not? As J Mac said about the law of averages... sooner or later... and he was right!! GO ROGI and kick ass big time!

RF, I'm pretty positive we're going to get this match on tape delay tonight. It'll be great to see two victories in a row (Kim, then Federer).

Kim stomped Amelie 6-2, 6-0 I guess Amelie completely froze, because apparently their round robin match was the match of the tournament!

Hey Guys! I'm back! arrived last Saturday but had to chill out a bit, my short trip to to the States was fun but all that travelling tired me out. haven't heard anything about tennis while i was there, except the results in Paris where Henman beat Roger in the quarters. i stayed mostly in NJ, but i did go to NY and watched the matinee of "Mamma Mia". It was quite delightful. Then we also drove to Maryland over Halloween weekend and ate bushels of crabs! Plus more food. Your typical Filipino gathering anywhere in this world---foods galore! ;D also spent 2 days in Princeton and visited my brother in law and his family. They live pretty close to the campus and Princeton is a nice quaint town. And i did go shopping. Yeah, stayed up last night to watch Roger kick Agassi's ass. It was a pretty good match but Roger should have closed that one out at 5-3. whew, lucky about saving those 2 match points, eh? But he played well, even shutting out those rowdy fans. Jeez, Amis clapping on his double faults and errors. So, c'monnn Roger! HOPP HOPP HOPP!!!

Mrs. B! Welcome back! Well, you probably know by now that Henman won the who shebang in Paris so it's not like Federer's loss was in vain. Sounds like it was a cracker of a match, I hope it's the one they showed on ESPN this morning. Starting today we'll be getting both singles matches. Glad you had fun the US, even if you didn't venture east Probably just as well as I was buried under a pile of work (still am, in fact). LOL, how long is it until your next holidays?

Hey, Hackie! I was really tempted to do some sidetrips. My gf in Michigan even inquired for flights but they were expensive and you have to get out of La Guardia. Yeah, glad to hear Henman kicked Pandy's ass out of Paris! We get live coverage of Houston at Eurosport at 8 pm and 2 am. I'm still tired having gone to bed at almost 5 this morning, i couldn't open my eyes to Kim & Momo's match anymore. But Roger's match against AA was a good one. We're flying out on the 5th of December to Singapore. Then it's Langkawi island in Malaysia, then the southern part of Thailand.

Just thought I'd drop this by It's from Bob Larson's daily tennis newsletter: Men's Match of the Day Tennis Masters Cup - Round Robin Roger Federer def. Andre Agassi 6-7(3-7) 6-3 7-6(9-7) Maybe, after this, Roger Federer will forgive the court. It was Federer, after all, who spoke most loudly about the poor condition of the surface -- and he probably wouldn't have liked it all that well even if it had been properly set up. For a while, it looked like it would cost him. Although Federer won the first two games of the match, Agassi then broke back, and seemed to have his teeth in things, and even served for the first set, and the crowd was of course cheering Agassi for all it was worth. We were sitting there preparing to write about the end of Federer's last hope for #1. That, obviously, was more than a little premature; Federer broke back in the first, and though he lost the tiebreak, younger legs (and younger lungs -- Agassi seemed to be really puffing after an extremely long first game of the second set, and if Agassi is puffing, you know it's a tough match!) started to tell after that. Agassi looked tenatative, with Federer making most of the winners and most of the errors and generally controlling the action, and in the end Agassi blew two match points. Instead of being eliminated, Federer's flickering chances actually improved, ever so slightly, because Juan Carlos Ferrero lost. He still has to win the whole thing -- every match of the whole thing! -- and hope Andy Roddick loses all of his. But it's possible. And he's beaten the best hardcourt player in his group, and Ferrero looks vulnerable -- though he also has to deal with David Nalbandian, and nobody but nobody has Federer's number the way Nalbandian does. And he sure gave the crowd something to remember, even if Andre Agassi was the loser in what will almost certainly be the match of the championships. In the short term, this doesn't mean much; Federer remains #3, and really has very little chance of moving up. He does, however, put some more ground between himself and the next several guys on the rankings list: Guillermo Coria, Agassi, and Rainer Schuettler. As a matter of fact, he's now eliminated Agassi from the contest for the year-end #3; Federer leads him by 140 Race points, and the most Agassi can earn now is 130 Race points. Schuettler could still pass Federer, but only if he wins all five of his matches here and Federer loses all of his. Functionally, that leaves only Coria, and even Coria is 99 points back, meaning that Coria must win at least four matches to pass Federer, and if Federer wins one more, Coria has to win the whole thing. For Agassi, this significantly increases the odds that he will end the year outside the Top 5. He's currently #5 in the Race, but 41 points behind Coria and only four ahead of Rainer Schuettler. And Schuettler hasn't played yet. That means, in effect, that Agassi is now down to #6; he needs to win a higher percentage of his matches than Schuettler if he is to end up #5. And he too has to deal with Nalbandian, as well as Ferrero.
