What is Alison Riske. What.
Big Akgul has a pretty nice section, should qualify.

Zi Yan should qualify too. She's maybe one to watch who could do some damage in the main draw too.

Sheesh -- Lilia's fans were so disturbed that she didn't get a MD wc, and here she can't even get past the first round of qualies. Poor Lilia.
Poor Coco, too -- she must have got on court extremely late, now she has to wait all day again to resume her match at 4-2 in the 3rd.

Wow, erstwhile star of Japanese $25Ks Regina Kulikova thrashed the Yak 1 and 1.
I am keeping an eye on this Petra Kvitova child, who just beat NLV - not because she beat NLV obv but she was tearing up the reasonably strong Czech scrub circuit earlier this year...

I am keeping an eye on this Petra Kvitova child, who just beat NLV - not because she beat NLV obv but she was tearing up the reasonably strong Czech scrub circuit earlier this year... Me too. She's had some really nice results this year and is still fairly young. Someone once said that she plays like Sharapova. I hope she doesn't scream though. Giant Akgul enters top 100 and loses in Q1. Oh well, can't have it all.

Who is Oudin? And how did she DESTROY the (allegedly) very good Morita? Oudin hasn't even turned 16 yet. The future of American tennis! Maybe Morita will be like all the other Asian prodigies that win some challengers when they're 16 and we never hear from them again.

Pironkova-Domachowska is an interesting tussle ... I hate it when Ireland's finest, Kelly Liggan, loses. But at least it was to Gorgeous Goerges. Parmentier struggled with Haynes, 6-1 4-6 6-4. Kutuzova d. Birnerova 0 and 5. Salerni d. Maes 4 and 1. Keothavong, beloved on this board, downed Zahlavova 3 and 0! Asia Muhammed sucks. Lost 2 and 2 to Czink. How f'n long has Natalie Grandin been around? Marrero d. Gubasci 4 and 1. Tatishvili destroyed by Cravero. : at her WC indeed.

Coco lost 5-7 in the 3rd again. Served for the match at 5-3, lost that game at love. I'm pretty sure she lost the next game at love, too, poor kid. Fortunately I had to leave right then to make myself some supper -- a can of baked beans again, woohoo! -- so I don't know if she won any points in the final 2 games or not. I sure hope so.

BarbOra got spanked by Junri Namigata 2 and 1. Jeez, what's going on with her? Wasn't she like winning everything in juniors a couple of years ago?
And speaking of those, Pavlyuchenkova finally showed signs of life beating Jozami 6-2 6-2.
