Thank you Lee!! So why didn't they show any of these players during the rain delay?? I hardly saw any of them... OK Paradorn and Kimmie talking but not DOING anything... they sure know how to waste airtime... nite nite! so tired fr waiting out the two-day rain delays... ho hum... can't that hurricane blow out to sea or sth??

Federer: Ich war in der berühmten Zone. Plötzlich ging alles wie von selbst. Du hast das Gefühl, nichts mehr falsch machen zu können. Aber leider kann man das nicht auf Bestellung abrufen. Aber es war eine wunderbare Sache, dass ich in den beiden wichtigsten Matches meiner Laufbahn diese Klasse zeigen konnte. Das gibt einen Schub für die nächsten Monate, die nächsten Jahre. Sie haben sich mit diesem Sieg aber auch selbst unter Druck gesetzt. Alle erwarten jetzt den grossen, nachhaltigen Durchbruch. Federer: Alles ist zunächst einen grossen Schritt nach vorne gegangen: Die Popularität, der Bekanntheitsgrad, das Interesse. Jeder schaut jetzt genauer hin, was ich tue, wie ich spiele, welche Erfolge ich habe. Aber darüber kann ich mich doch nicht beschweren. Das ist «part of the job». Ich bin ja bewusst Tennisprofi geworden, ich wollte nach oben, und jetzt, nach meinem wichtigsten Titelgewinn, bin ich bereit, das mit allen Konsequenzen zu tragen. Dieser eine Schritt nach vorn, ausgelöst durch den Wimbledonsieg, kann vieles, wenn nicht alles umkrempeln. Frühere Sieger wie Becker oder McEnroe behaupten, der Erfolg im All England Club habe ihr Leben verändert. Federer: Sie werden schon Recht haben. Ich will mir nicht selbst ein Etikett anheften, aber der Wimbledonerfolg macht dich von einem der Stars im Tennis zum Superstar. Ich habe es gleich in den ersten Tagen danach gemerkt. Guess who was with him taking that pic ;D ;D. hint: another women tennis player I saw a video clip from Brazil Open's web site with centre court birthday celebration and he had a great time there. Don't know why his mom was not there but his girlfriend and younger brother was there.
