So everyone in Nadal's group is now 1-1

No. Ferrer is 2-0 and Djokovic is 0-2.

I predict Ferrer will prove to be a tough customer sort of the way Al Costa was when he was in the field and had to decide whether to tank to let Carlosh reach the semifinals. (or something like that). Wow, great call!

Roddick into SF!

How dare you 2 interrupt. It will probablky be Federer joining Roddick. This is a good thing for the tournament I guess, although Gorila really should have done better against Roddick. I know you all join me in extending heartfelt good wishes to the Wuss.

I'm confused how Roddick has clinched since he could lose 0-6 0-6 to Roger and Gonzo could beat Kolya 6-0 6-0, and Gonzo would have better game differential but whatevz.
And this is positive only if Fit wins the other group. So, Fit can beat Roddick in the SF.

Set differential is what matters after match record. Worst case scenario for Andy: IF Andy loses in 2 and Gonzo wins in 2: All three tie at match record of 2-1. Fed wins group in that case because his set record would be 5-2. Andy and Gonzo tied at sets 4-3. Next TB: H2H Andy def. Gonzo. Winz!

So, if Roger didn't win a set off Gorila, Andy wouldn't make the SF.
This is why RR is stupid.

Blahhh, Dickhead Actually, maybe good. Because his dream is Davis Cup, right? Tire him out here. Hopefully he somehow fails at DC and is so distraught that, I dunno, he quits tennis or something. Always something to hope for

I doubt Andy's dream is Davis Cup. That's one of those many things he says and does to hide what a prick he is.

Inspiring performance from Dick this week!
He worked so hard to get to Shanghai.
We're very lucky Fat Dave or Mopey didn't make it.

So why exactly is Gasquet supposed to be a future multiple GS winner? His game consists mostly of standing kms behind the baseline passively sending to the other side loopy junk that barely clears the service line.

His game consists mostly of standing kms behind the baseline passively sending to the other side loopy junk that barely clears the service line. He may never be one, but he does have some nice offense when he chooses to display it. His backhand won him the Wimbledon QF against Roddick this year. He can threaten the top five when he's aggressive and accurate, I suppose.

Go Roger! I usually don't root for him since he always wins, but considering what a poor year he's had (by his insanely high standards), I want him to complete his average indoor season with a big title.

I'd like Roger to win so #1 doesn't become in doubt.
Also, Kolya could lose #4 if Dave wins. Although, Dave will likely have the #4 seed for Melbourne either way.

I thought the hapless Roddick had made Fed look better than he really is again, but Fed went on to play at a God-like level for two further matches.
SF was a carbon copy of the Paris TMS final. Nudd-Ahl playing safe, holding serve and waiting for Fed to flinch, but in the end it was he who played a choke-y service game to get broken and hand over the set. This both loosened up Fed and shattered Nudd-Ahl's confidence, and from then on it was just a massacre. Only difference was that Fat Dave easily won most of the baseline rallies, while Fed initially tried to avoid getting into those (his serve took care of business on most of the points on his own service games).
Final went as expected. Pics can't hit winners past Fed, and he has trouble dealing with Fed's junk artistry. But still, it was definitely another God-like performance by Fed, on par with last year's TMC final.

The doubles match was a blowout, as well. Bleh.
Now, 6 weeks of emptiness.
Except for the lame Roger-Real Gorilla matches this week.
