Hey, Em!
Yeah, you may be a Rogi Raver but you know when to leave him alone to his peace and quiet, eh?
Actually Wimbledon would be great, esp. when you can get to watch his first round match as the defending champion.
I already got my "Einzahlungschein" for the Swiss Indoors in Basel. Might as well pay it soon so we're guaranteed good seats.

Oh yes that's right! He's on a holiday to take a break not to be bothered by a crazy fan Hmm thats the thing I dont know if my mum would queue overnight for centre court tickets so I was thinking more of the practice courts! You know how it is Oooh yes good news ;D you certainly are seeing a bit of Rogi this year!

Well i just hope that he's playing on that day when we're gonna be there. the tickets aren't cheap. but we should be able to watch some other matches as well, like last year when we saw Ferrero, Roddick, Tim Henman and James Blake. Even got his autograph. ;D I'm even thinking of getting a better digital camera so i could really zoom in and take good pictures. It's raining here now. It was really hot & humid this morning. Now I'm spared from watering my plants!

Thats the risk you have to take though if you are only going for 1 day. But even if you dont see him, you saw him in Gstaad and you will be able to see lots of other good players I think buying a digital camera would be a very good idea One of people I speak too online went to Wimbly and he took some pics of my faves ;D Im not sure who though he said it was a suprise! But he only went for 1 day so he might not have any of Rogi. *groan* that reminds me. I have to water my mums plants! Its not rained here.

Yeah, i did see Roger twice already and the last time, how! It's just so great to see him play live... Still, if i won't see him in Basel, tough luck. But like you say, there's other good players to watch as well. So are your bags packed? You must be excited. I'd love to get away again this weekend... *sigh*

Yeah, he's bigtime now, our boy, and more money. So he should treat his online fans to one of his matches, no? I travel light, and i can actually get off if i wanted to, hubby doesn't make a big deal about it, it's just that he can't have even a week off these days as he's already used up his vacation from our last trip to the Phil. And he'd rather get out of here in the wintertime. He also likes to hang out by the river here with his buddies, drinking cold beer & playing cards, bbq, a dip on the cool waters. It's really a nice location, so it's like being on holidays when we're there. Big work at the club won't be till August so i could drive somewhere if i wanted to...

He certainly should! we were his fans before he hit the big time you could say. I mean its only really now people actually take notice of him. He wasn't even one of the favourites even when he made it through to the semi's! Oh I see. Well never mind you like in a really beautiful place anyway Not like me. Well actually my street is a nice one and I cant complain about the house but still....

Well i'm sure you'll have a ball in Portugal. Don't forget your little mini black dress just in case you meet a dashing Romeo and wants to invite you out for dinner or something... Yea, re Roger. or maybe we should discuss this with Mirka. What's a couple of rt tickets, plus accomodations and front seat tickets to one of his GS matches, eh? For his faithful fans online. ;D

Hola, Mujeres! God, did i need that nap or what. All that humidity made me drowsy. Playing earlier than usual must have sapped my energy away. It's cooler here now and i can resume my unfinished housework. *i hate ironing* Well, there's always the tv to keep me company... Em, enjoy! RogiFan--yes, Basel is too close from here not to go. The atmosphere there is a bit different from Gstaad but at least i don't have to worry about getting fried in the sun! Hope Roger wins it this year. It would mean so much to him. Doris--we went last year on a Wednesday too, and saw lots of good matches. (would have preferred Thursday but it's sold out) I'm sure this year won't be any different. Two tickets cost Sfr. 208, plus Sfr. 10 for Bearbeitungsgebuhr.

It's sunny now and a little warmer than this am... had to rush out to get groceries -- making a chicken curry! Wow those Basel tix are exp!! That's about $100 CAN pper -- this is for Rd2?? Gstaad is exp also but it is SO beautiful there! Doris, deadline for messages is July 28 a couple of days before I'm off to Montreal. Just watching a bit of Rogi d Hewitt at Miami02 SF during my lunch... he's so good! And Cliffie just loves talking about him!! Mrs. B. great tennis you're playing! Nice that watching Rogi also helps w one's game!! Well, back to my boring project... I see Rogi d Yves at Grone yesterday but everyone had a nice time! I was thinking of sending SMASH an email to suggest a special Rogi Wimby03 edition or sth... he's worth it! Laters!

okey, if anyone's interested in MY tennis i beat my opponent this morning, 6-0, 3-1. Two years ago she beat the crap out of me in our club tournament. Never again. I think i'm really learning how to do my shots well and i vary my strokes. Ha! All that tennis watching on tv (& live) is paying off. We were supposed to play at 9 but she called up and wanted to play earlier cuz she says it's hot. I was a bit stressed as i didn't even finish drinking my coffee, and i was tired from my food preparation yesterday. See, i'm inspired by Roger's game! btw., Hackie, the meal was devoured with gusto. And yes, if ever you come to Bern one of these summers, i'll invite you to play at our club. You'd love European clay. ;D Wow, sounds like you're really coming into your own, Mrs. B! It must be a fabulous feeling Congrats on your win, hopefully there will be a few tournament wins coming soon! I called up this other girl and we're getting together Monday night. It's so hot here that playing in the evening is most ideal, since it stays dark until 8 or so. Hopefully it will go well. Of course your meal was devoured You're a fabulous cook! Hmm, even more incentive to save up my pennies for travel ;D

taking a little break. Yes, am so proud of that win. we're playing again on Friday morning. I think part of the reason why i'm winning over her is because i'm playing a relaxed game, i don't put pressure on me or anything, so i have fun while doing my shots. it's also good doing scores with her cuz i'm learning how to play smart, whereas if i play with other women, we just hit balls from the baselines until our time's up. Hackie, you just gotta play and play. Now that i have more time, i do it when i can. ;D I'm sure you'll have a good time on Monday. RF, those tickets i got for Basel are on the yellow section, in the middle, of the north side (see website) so they're a bit more expensive. It's just behind the sponsors' box. It's not everyday that we watch a live match in this level so might as well splurge a bit. But there are still available seats in the green (& red) section even on the quarterfinals. I sat there during Edberg & Stich's match ages ago and it was a bit far from the court. back to the grind...but first some sweets for an energy boost. it's to hot for espresso, but what the heck... bbl ;D

Funny, my instructor said the same thing This other girl just started her lessons, so we may end up playing midcourt instead of from the baseline. Whatever, it's all good ;D Hopefully I'll have a new racquet by that time, too. I'm looking forward to trying some different ones out to help with my control issues.
