Rodina Only caught the end of it in tiny minimised livestream at work...she had that chance, didn't take it. Cake Bammer and Calleri WTF? Oh well, at least Akgul has a good chance to make the 3R now. Rybarikova beat Sperm 8-6 in the third...I was wondering who'd take that. Surprised that Petrova wasn't upset by Caravane. Demented lost a first set TB to the Douche, but steamrolled thereafter.

Poor Rodina. So much effort put in, and it all comes down to a point where she had the whole court open and she hits it long. This is so much like the Pin match at the AO last year. I too thought of the Pin match. It's hard to believe after serving so well to start 2008 Maria's serve now resemebles her 2007 problematic serve. She really needs a serve coach because her father Yuri and Michael Joyce are not getting the job done with her serve. Sharapova was lucly to beat Rodina today. She almost tanked away the match after winning the first set 6-1. And Ivanovic was in devastating form against Safarova. Ana really needed a strong performance like that against a talented player like Lucy.

As I was watching the end of the match while I dressed, I wondered what Maria was going to say, because I knew what Serena would have said had she suffered through Rodina, and I thought Maria didn't do that too much.
