A-Rad confounds the scheming RG schedulers by winning. I wonder what they have up their sleeves for the next round!

Yay Llodra. They had some words at the net, not sure what Berdych's problem was, apart from blowing it.

Leena won't be pleased with the proceedings on Court 15. I'm not surprised. Ivo never wins slam matches. It's a CRO thing.

Sounds like the conditions are really bad?
Maria! lol, God. Somebody just beat her.
By the by, Dellacqua might become this year's Safarova and stomp Amelie at both the French and Wimbledon.
So ... Loit is in the third round. That may be the most shocking development thus far.
Rivaled only by Wozniak beating someone, and that someone being Bammer, and that beating being 0 and 2!
A bit of a dull start to this tournament, though.

It was very windy today. Maria is a terrible wind player. She'll win easily next match. She didn't use to be. I remember her beating the crap out of Dementieva in IW 06 under a gale. But then again she always beats the crap out of Dementieva. Some of the bounces on that match were really wild though. Not sure if it was just the wind or damage to the court caused by the rain. Maria's too off her game to do anything at all. That quarter is up for grabs. Zvonareva or Safina may reach the RG final - how about that - to lose to ~*Baby Anci*~. ES today did their early round special of jumping from court to court showing mostly irrelevant matches between mid-ranked ATP players. I prefer this to the local channel's practice of sticking to main court no matter what, but it still sux. Lolz @ Peer. I hope this opens a path for Kvitova and then Szavay.

I shouldn't say Maria is a bad wind player. I really don't watch her enough to know.
But, if she isn't allowed to overpower her opponents, it quickly turns into a crap shoot. With the lesser ranked usually choking at the end. Like today.

Maria was just pushing the ball back in several points in the 3rd. Couldn't hit a 2nd serve to the deuce court to save her life throughout. And throwing away points by trying to hit clumsy touch shots. Even her BH sucked donkey dick. I couldn't believe just how comically bad it was.
Just noticed that Shrieky Vicky won easily, and her draw couldn't look better. :kissofdeath:
Ivanovic d. Radwanska (ret.) bottom half SF. You heard it here first.

Peer losing to Stosur is the biggest shocker for me! Like, Peer hasn't been great this year, but she hasn't plumbed Stepanekova-esque depths either. And Stosur? On clay? Off a 17-year lay-off or whatever it was? Buh?
I'll predict Suarez Navarro to beat Amelie, may as well.
Hey, I just noticed that Benesova has a great shot at the last 16!
Shocked at the beatdown Soderling put on the Principality.

Ivanovic d. Radwanska (ret.) bottom half SF. You heard it here first. Go Baby Anci go! Ever since the incident with Srdjan Pater Familias Djokovic the Serbian commentators have been sucking up to Novak more than ever. It's getting nauseating. And I guess they got scared of Mommy Ivanovic storming their booth too, because the guy wouldn't shut up about "Our Tennis Princess" today. Really, that's how he called her the whole match. Speaking of which, she played well, probably for the first time since Indian Wells.

I want USian TV to refer to Serena as Our Tennis Princess. I'm suggesting that right now. Ha! But no, for the USA, Our Tennis Princess will forever be that slutty Chris Evert. Soon to be Mrs. Norman. Eww, how can those two stand each other. I hope by now their ex'es are appreciating their good fortune. Sorry for veering a little bit OT, but it's hard to find a spot to slip in a dig at Our Permanent Tennis Princess. ;D

It's funny. I just realised I saw Mathilde Johansson at the 10K in Bielefeld in 2004 where she lost against Korina Perkovic 0-6 in the third. Didn't struck me as a huge talent back then.
Sharapova didn't cope with the wind well but the main issue is that she struggles with Pin-like opponents. Rodina played a lot like Pin, except she's a bit more powerful and her first serve much stronger. But in the rallies she kept the ball low and down the middle, much like Pin. Maria hates that.
