Dang...I had work with the team all morning...I tried to watch the scoreboards but it wasn't happening. Looks like JJ had her chance but credit to Ana. As head of CASNO*, I pray she wins the title, even though I think I like Dinara slightly more (I'm basically apathetic towards both of them).

Watched all of Safina-Kuznetsova. Dinara seemed confident, and it also looks like she's lost her paunch which she had last summer in abundance. She played fine. Svetlana looked like the rookie Slam semifinalist.
Jelena and Ana are a recipe for a great match. Jelena is a primarily defensive player who can go on offense - Ana is a primarily offensive player who can play defense. It can be a compelling match. Not saying it was today, but it CAN be.
Jankovic shouldn't have wasted the energy mocking Ana's fist pumps. Obviously, Ana got in her head. No surprise that she won then.
I hope Ana wins, since I'm also a member of CASNO.

Ana is a primarily offensive player who can play defense. Against puffballers like Jankovic and assorted scrubs, yes. She can win matches mostly by playing passively and even moonballing. Against flat hitters who take the ball early she'll struggle.

"I let it slip away," acknowledged the 23-year-old Jankovic, who was asked what she would do Thursday night and replied: "I will have some dinner and maybe get drunk." Jelena is so much fun to have on the Tour.

Jelena is so much fun to have on the Tour. She's fucking useless and I hope she languishes in the #6-10 range for a couple of years before going away for good.

Yo CASNO people. Why do you exist? The no.1 ranking doesn't mean so much anymore. Anci winning won't help matters. I'm more inclined to root for the DESTINY and draw-fucker-upper candidate for comedic value.

Strangely enough, Jankovic's alleged personality and cuteness and refreshingness have always been sort of lost on me.

I would normally want Ana to beat Dinara in the 2008 French Open final to win her first grand slam singles final. But I really want the brother and sister combination of Marat Safin and Dinara Safina to win grand slam singles titles as bother and sister siblings. It's would be never before seen tennis history and it would be great. Ivanovic has made 3 grand slam finals in the last year and thart's very good. But she really needs this one and will be favored to do so. But Safina is the best clay court player this year and believes she can win. It should be a good one.

I don't find Jankovic cute. But she's funny, in both a laugh-with and laugh-at way. And she is so, so unbelievably Eurotrash.

She tries a little too hard to be a 'character', but not enough to hate her.
