I also don't see Penis repeating here. I could see Aneres pulling one out of her ass, though.
Leach could do decently with a good draw.

There will be blood if anything gets in the way of my securing that job at CT. Oh and something about wimbledon... Sleep with HR!

Leach looks like she'll be in the 25-32 seed zone (unless Bimbly can still change seedings on their own, I don't follow those things).
Therefore, a 12.5% chance of drawing Chak, or 3R loss.

They might bump her. But why the hell should they? She hasn't played for months.

I thought it seeding changes were based on some formula of recent grass court results, which Leach has none. But, I don't know.

It's something like your current points, plus 100% of last year's grass court points, 50% from two years ago, and 25% from the year before that. I believe they only use that formula for the men, though.
Leach might be a top 24 seed though - she's two away now. Golovin, Hantuchova and Bartoli are all injured. If she's not, of the top eight I could see her beating at least three or four on a good day. But that's the thing about her in this comeback... you don't know who is going to turn up: the player who can wipe out Ivanovic in straight sets, or the one who can just as easily lose to Safina.

I would be shocked if they adjusted the seeds for Leach. She's no Penis. She also has no penis.

I can't imagine Federer beating Nadal anymore. I just can't. Not sure how Federer got through last year's final. It was mostly luck, probably. So having said that, it would be a huge feat for Federer to do it again. I don't think he will though.

And on the women's side, I have absolutely no clue. Which means Williams wins.

This is the same annual discussion they have at the World, right? The seeding formula doesn't apply to the women. Occasionally they shift 1-2 players max up/down a seeding tier, but a player's ranking vs Wimbledon history has to be seriously out of whack for that to happen (I can only remember Graf, Wenus Villiams and, er, Raymond getting promoted). Whatever, it's not happening this year.
Having seen what Nadal can do on the old-skool grass at Queen's just now, I'm definitely favouring him over Federer.

For the women, I'm thinking either Sharapova, Silliams or Jankovic, in that order. But it'll be highly dependent on who draws whom.

TTC's hype show for Wimbledon has a bit on how the players like the 1st Sunday off.
It gives us rest! Because we don't get days off in slams! Time to reflect on the 2nd week! 2nd Monday is the greatest tennis day of the year!
No, just no. I truly loathe the 2nd Monday. Wouldn't you rather be able to watch most of the R16 matches??

It has pros and cons. One pro is that it evens out the schedule. Unless matches are postponed from Saturday, then it's totally fucked up.
This year it's quite appropriate as the EURO 2008 final is on that day.

Forcing all the ladies instead of half into back-to-back days with 4R and QF matches is the only minor pro compared to a hundred cons.

No play on Sunday is the most idiotic thing ever.
Tennis most stoopid stupidities:
1) No play on Sunday @ Wimbledon. 2) The US Open "Super Saturday" and Super Sucky Sunday. 3) Anares.

Super Saturday at least has a purpose since it's purely for TV. I would prefer having both finals on Saturday, actually. Since competing with the NFL is fail. It would be plausible since the USO will almost certainly have the Sunday start beginning in '09 with ESPN's reign of terror.
Wimbledon and their hokey, pointless traditions can die a painful death.

Only one place, too (9-to-8). Serena in 2004 got the #1 seed. She had a special seeding, but it was not #1.

Tauzita was robbed of her rightful No 1 seeding!
Play on Middle Sunday would be awesome for, you know, the majority of people in the country who have to work &c during the week and therefore cannot watch a lot of the matches. One would think it'd be awesome extra revenue for the AELTC as well too but w/vs.

Jesus Christ, the last year's Ivanovic vs Vaidisova QF had the worst piece of TV commentating I have ever listened to. I've just seen the match as it was rerun on the TV station that is going to broadcast Wimbledon here and it's good I didn't see the match live last year as I would have probably ended up cheering for Vaidisova. I mean, "Way to, doll!!!!11" at the end of the match was actually one of the least offensive things the guy said. I can't believe I'll have to go through two weeks of that.

Well today's final made things a little more interesting me thinks. I'll go first and predict Fed is gonna lose for the first time since 02 this year, to either Nole or Rafa. Murray will do well and make the quarters/semis. Roddick does well also: possibly a semi with a good draw. Penis Williams wins the title, coming back from 0-5 down in the third against Brenda Schultz-Mccarthy, on C1, in R2. After that, she wins every match on CC 6-0 6-0 up until the final, where she murders *~Baby Anci Gurl~* 6-2 6-1. S. Williams sucks all tournament, but somehow manages to make the semis. Marion Bartoli (CAK), crashes out before the 3R, withdraws from all future tournaments, overeats and dies from lard poisoning a week later. Hey, these weren't bad at all! Minus Roddick.

Heh, I did believe it. I didn't count on two useless Brits and some Spaniard being her opponents in opening rounds. You can't get a Sprem or a Jankovic every year unfortunately.
