Damn, people. No Day Five thread yet?
Zheng, Pavlyunchenkova, Rodina and Mattek. How many seeds will they beat?

I take back what I said about Barb0ra wanting to win against A-Bond, apparently shes like that all the time. Which probably explains why she blows. Funny, though.

It's 9pm and I'm still at work....doesn't look like it will end soon. Everyone else is gone, so the tv is on and Roger's being interviewed. So, all is not lost.
Also, Allez Amelie. Please avoid a bagel....I feel like asking her to avoid a breadstick might be a bit too much.

I heard about that Gimelstob thing, but I assumed it was just going a bit OTT with the publicity - it seemed so cartoonishly fratboy, and I thought he and Kournikova got on? If it was serious, he...has issues, is a dick, I'm not surprised. Saw Chak v E-Rod after the rain delay - Chak was initially immaculate, winning six games in a row with the loss of nary a point. Really beautiful, smart tennis - those DTL shots were Myskina-esque. Then we fell apart, couldn't get a ball in court, and only crawled over the finish line on out 5th MP through Rodina UEs

Don't know what to think about her chances against Vaidisova - on the one hand, Vaidisova recently = bye, but Chak hasn't been much better, and Vaidisova's beaten two good grass courters here.

If it was serious, he...has issues, is a dick, I'm not surprised. I'm sorry, this was on the Sports Junkies' show. Their handlers usually amp guests up before the show, telling them to be "outrageous" and play up sexual aspects, and that it's all in good fun...and then they say stupid things they don't necessarily mean with the assumption it will be taken not as gospel but as "entertainment." This is like the eight trillionth time someone has gotten in hot water because of things they say on that show, Junkies themselves by no means excepted.

Watching A-Pav and A-Rad. It's good! A-Pav keeps tremendous depth on her shots but is too slow to react to some of A-Rad's switch-ups, and when out of position usually makes an error. Pretending Silliams v Maumau is not happening, I see Silliams is 10 games away from the double bagel already

Amelie could have won the tie-break. She didn't though.
I can't decide if this bodes well for Momo, keeping it so close with Ree, or whether this just shows how unimpressive both champions are today. I fear it's the latter, except Silliams can still bullshit her way to the title, theatrics and all.
