That would just be mean. Though it would pave the way nicely for the Murray Slam.

Federer in total suck mode. Igor tried hard to give him the set and yet Federer couldn't take it.

Roger a set down to Igor! Sheesh.
An Oafette Jankovic final would be the one, and only, silver lining of this event. But, it's going to be Bammer against Penis. That one would be kind of funny though.

Federer really is Sampras 2 now. Serve is the only shot that saves him. Well, that, and Igor's choking.

Please don't lose, Kolya.
Roger, whatever. I'm torn between wanting him to win the US Open, and wanting him to lose this match here.
Elena provides the day's sole normal result.

Igor should have broken early in the set. Federer played well on most break-points but Igor did have some chances. Federer is still awful but at least he went for it in the tie-break while Igor was too passive.
I don't think this is over yet though.

Federer hit two horrible volleys on the last two points of the set, but Igor clipped the net on the second one and didn't make him pay like he did after the first one.
Muller is a brat, but he's sexy, and I'm ready for Davydenko to go away. So a good win.

Plus, Muller's not actually a bad player. I'm less surprised at this run than at his extended doldrums. But Kolya has disappointed in the Slams this year; I'm not really ready for him to go away until he gets his due respect from the media. I saw several articles on this USO which referred to "the six contenders for the title". Neither Fit Dave nor Kolya was among them. Which was correct, but...I think we can guess who was in there instead.

Roddick vs Djokovic suddenly becomes unpredictable. If Robredo can push Novak to 5 sets, then Roddick can certainly beat him. I'll make the outrageous prediction that Roddick will reach the final. And I'll look really stupid if Gonzo manages to come back tonight.
