Ugh. Dudi Sela will win 2 more matches, and reach the Top 20 just through DC points.

I am finally home from Bitter Cold Tiny Town, but have not been able to bring myself to watch any of this Doha circus. Any good men's stuff going on on TC this week or soon? I'll probably have to give up TC when our current contract expires in Jan. or Feb., so I want to catch what I can between now and then.

Um...yes. Something is going on. I forget which tournament though. St. Pete? And then stuff for the remainder of the season too. God bless TTC.

TTC is worth it to me just for the old matches they show. Although, they do rely on crap like old Fed/Davis Cup too much.

I don't mind certain old Davis Cup ties, and I'd way rather see that than WTT, which used to be their main offering.
But if I cancel TTC it won't be because I'm at all dissatisfied -- the Slam coverage alone makes me love it -- but only because of finances. I'll have to see if the Verizon FiOS sports package can be purchased with a lower level of other stuff.

My sports package is ridiculously cheap. It's like $10 a month; I've stopped going to the movies, and that's a net gain.

Yes, sports package + small rather than large selection of other channels would be great. Though I'm afraid the DVR will probably have to go and I'll have to re-learn to watch stuff WHEN IT'S ACTUALLY ON.

No no no no no. DVR is a necessity in this day and age. You're just going to have to pick one day a week to fast.

I don't have DVR. I just download stuff.

I don't like watching stuff on my little laptop screen very much. It's a great backup, though.

Just realized that DVR was also a Top Ten player and the inspiration for one of our favorite Internet Celebrities!!

I wish these Lyon SFs would be on tv today; it's Llodra vs Simon, Clement v Ljubicic. But this annoying Doha thing seems to be clogging up the schedule. But next week we get Basel.

I know. It's times like this that I wish ESPN would take the SEWTA matches.

I keep meaning to watch that glorious match again, but forget to.
If TTC was given USA's tape library, they should replay many more US Open matches.
And they're replaying a lot of stuff from this year... which means lots o' Williams. Ugh.

Checked back to see what I was doing around then, and MAN: rebecca.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=03usosubTHIS BOARD WAS HORRIBLE THEN. No wonder I never came in. I don't care if there are only 12 regular posters here now, there were about that many then and just read how that shit went down when Hackie was in charge

I watched Clijsters vs Davenport and then went to bed. That wasn't a very wise decision.

Also, this is the only board where there's more defunct moderators for over 5 years, than active posters.

I watched Clijsters vs Davenport and then went to bed. That wasn't a very wise decision. Unless you happened to be a JenFat fan. I was starting to wonder when the Hackie Reign of Terror ended, because I thought it couldn't have been much later than the USO '03, andtThe best thread, where Becca REALLY gives Hackie the boot in the nuts, is the Justine/Kim AO '04 final thread, where Hackie asks GoDom to "leave the WTAW hate out of this thread" after months and months of her own personal WTAW-style hate against Henin and Roddick (among others). And then she deletes (I'm assuming) pro-Justine posts from GoDom and Lurker. rebecca.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=04aosub&action=display&thread=16&page=4Good times.

I'm making a semi-executive decision that minor (and well-deserved) ribbing of her is acceptable once every new decade (no semantics about how this really isn't one, please). LOL. Good one. Still, it's ridiculously more interesting now. And sassier.

I wasn't really here during the Reign of Terror, because it was basically a smaller version of MinorityWorld. With the stupid cheering every point, dopey Kim/whoever Hackie liked favoritism, etc... At some point in 04-05, that stopped and slowly became the negative elitist forum it is today. That's when I became a "regular". I remember Hackie constantly deleting random posts of mine, and never explaining herself. I don't think she ever replied or directed anything towards me. Fatty must have really hated me. Ok, I won't go on about Hackie anymore.

Okay, I don't know if anyone said this then...but this match ended the way it did because once Henin started cramping, Capriati FORGOT HOW TO PLAY TENNIS. Or, more accurately, she started pushing, hoping Henin would miss due to death. Did not work.

I bought a DVD of that match from eBay. Never get it out, though. Used tennis matches!

I'm home again. Should I get my sports package w/TC back now, or just wait till London to sign up again? Anything coming up before then worth signing up for? No suggestions for Doha or Bali, please!

The MS coverage is always really good. So, Paris and London. I also enjoy the random matches they show during the offseason.

I'm watching too. Great isn't any greater than I remember her being... good serve, rest meh pushing, and an awkward bh. I'm assuming that Mariabot, Gorgeous George and Screamy all bashed their way to losses.
