Henin-Hardenne had back problems during the U.S. Open and complained of blurred vision in her left eye Friday because of an infection. She says she's tired and hasn't practiced enough on the indoor hard court at the Spiroudome.
"It is far from ideal," she said. "It bothers me."

Just withdraw, Justine. Those Kim-loving Belgians hate you anyway.

but brinyi's somewhat right. Justine needs to stop talking and the interviewer's need to stop asking her questions.

Boo. Put Mara in at least one singles match.
Pennetta is soooo boring.

Fran def. Flipper, 6-3 6-1 JHH def. Flavor Flav, 6-4 7-5
Those scores are from my memory and I don't care enough to check them again because nobody cares.

I saw JHH in spectacles.lol. She looked so cute. She should wear them more often.
I feel bad that JHH loves her country so much, and the feeling seems to be unrequited.

That's a funny pic.lol I wasn't watching..no.lol. I just get the feeling that the belgians are so hard on JHH and not so for Clijsters. Like today, even though it was nice to have KC there, it was just another eg. of the double-standard for KC and JHH. It hurt me a bit to know that JHH was all but banned from supporting the team in Ostend because of ..whatever...whilst KC could come. It pricks me just a bit.lol.

English commentator is freaking out. "IT IS SO SO WRONG, UTTERLY WRONG TO APPLAUD A FIRST SERVE FAULT. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION. DISGRACEFUL." Hehe. I don't have commentators because Italian RaiSport is on strike, or something. The matches have been so boring, Justine did not play well but managed to win both times while Flipkens simply sucks.

Wow, Italy is going to win because Belgium can't play a doubles match with only one decent player.

From what I've read, Justine's injury was serious and she had no choice but to withdraw, even though WTA World have collectively soiled their panties. They should be greatful she even played the final after the way she was treated in the SF.

This tends to happen. Remember when Slovakia won? Or when Croatia won DC? I think Davis Cup and Fed Cup should be killed. Half the players haven't lived in the nations they play for since they were 9, 80% really don't care, and 99% have their years ruined by these events.

Poor Juju. Now I wish she had not played. Ugh...And what horrific scheduling. The Davis cup is next weekend, why couldn't Fed give their players another week?
LOL@ Italy being the only team to show up.

Definitely should be cancelled.
Or at least just make this a short single event during the year. I think that could work before Aussie Open. Give players guaranteed matches... that's all they want.

Well, there are good years and crappy ones. Last year had a good Fed Cup final with two quality teams.
Davis Cup had a blowing final last year but is usually pretty decent. This year's semi between RUS-USA is about as intriguing as you can get, and the final might be a little less intriguing but still pretty good.
I think a higher priority would be to move Wimbledon onto green clay.

Davis Cup is fine enough, as they get the majority of top players to show.
Fed Cup is different. The US hasn't cared for years. And the schedule blows. The top players don't want to play the SF and F, both immediately after slams.
In today's tennis world, it's unrealistic to expect the best players to give up 3 weeks of the year to exhibitions, during the most inopportune times.
