Now we get our first look at Lauren Embree, who's getting crushed by Petrova. Go home, Lauren; you're embarrassing the US -- this is the best we had to offer?

Oh, well, Embree's going to play for Florida next year, so that's good. Meanwhile time is running out for Peter Polansky.

I see that Gilles is fighting back in set 2, but TC continues to bore us with the Nadya Massacre instead of showing that match. Oh, well, at this rate this match will be over soon.

I paid 5 bucks for this stupid Eurosport player and not a goddamn thing is working. I'm stuck with Kendrick and Brands right now.

I just googled this Twilight guy. Not that much of a resemblance, and Jil is cuter anyway. Too bad he sucks at tennis now.

I can, but it's not like when he was a contender. I miss that more intense hate! I never knew Ivo stutters. This is one of the things you learn from John McEnroe! Match point, and it's on Ivo's own serve. Someone doesn't read my many Ivo posts on rebecca.proboards.com! Embree is awful. The US should give up all their wildcards. We're worse than England now.

For all the years that King Kolya got crap for being a top 10 player... why does pushin' Simon avoid this wrath? The only reason he's ranked that high is a couple fortunate runs in MS events. At least Kolya consistently got far in slams.

I was too embarrassed for her to be derisive. TTC missed the game where she broke Petrova...Nadia must have been afflicted with swine flu for 5 minutes.

Too bad his record-breaking 55 aces today couldn't get him a win today; I might have become his #2 fan if he could have pulled that out in the 5th. Wish they'd switch over to Mopey vs Chela now, but now we've been moved to ESPN2, where the presence of my former crush, Patrick McEnroe , cannot make up for their stodgy match choices.

At least Kolya consistently got far in slams. Because, paradoxically, King actually made it far in Slams, whereas Twilight is not a threat to anyone's favorite. So people would get pissed that he was good enough to knock out their faves, but not good enough to actually win the title. And now Wayne is sucking and losing.

Ivo never wins 5-setters, and he chokes in EVERY tiebreak. We're glad that match was on at 4am, or this thread would be filled with my prescient whining.
Nadia looks really wide now. Not fat, or muscular, just big. Please beat Shrieky, then you can go away.
PMac is still a handsome man. But, I don't have to watch ESPN anymore. Bless the internet.

I saw most of Twilight while hopping. The facial features are a little similar. But, probably not enough for nickname status.

I think they could be twins, but I think everyone looks like everyone.
My motto has always been "all white people look alike when they're wearing hats." And nothing is more of a hat than that trendy new Twilight hairdo.

It's sad watching Chelala. He's really done. It's not like he could move before, but now he's just hopeless.
I've heard "Defending Champion - Ana Ivanovic" about 10 times in an hour. Way to point out how women's tennis blows.

The first time they mentioned this Brands guy, I heard it as "Bronze" and thought it was a nickname, and I thought this Bronze fellow must be the first ATP player to come out of the closet.

Ugh, TTC hired Golovin for the pointless slut that "interviews" people role that Pornikova had. I hope this board has finally given up on Tati by now.
It's a slam. Dulko has to win early round matches.

Ugh, TTC hired Golovin for the pointless slut that "interviews" people role that Pornikova had. Really? I missed it! I hope she'll last longer than Porni did; Porni didn't even make it through a whole tournament. Probably because she forgot that having been rude to almost everyone during her playing days, no one would want to be interviewed by her. Except for St. Kim, of course! But yeah, I guess this means that Tatiana is never coming back. What a shame.

What about the WC for Gaudio? Quite a waste too although there's no shame in losing to Sexpanek.

What about the WC for Gaudio? Quite a waste too although there's no shame in losing to Sexpanek. Just going to say the same thing. Sexxxpanek has been injured too, so, while ordinarily I wouldn't think this was a bad loss, I think Gaudio should have at least given him a run.

I don't think it's a waste to give a WC to a former champion, even if it didn't turn out so great.
