Well, I hope Fed's got the freak-out out of the way now.

I went out to pull weeds and missed the women's tennis Haas choke. Am still pissed at Rog but he could win me back if he'd play a manly match for once this RG!
NO WAY will Krazy Kuzzy have the balls to beat Serena. I'm not going to be pulled into any foolish hopes like that again. Where is Jill Craybas when we need her!

Where did Muzza nickname come from, anyway?

Oh. Wow. And I came back to THIS?!?!?! WTF Rafa + LOL Roger! Could this be the start of the MurraySlam? There is no reason that this can't still be the start of the Murray Slam.

Yeah, you can look at this two ways...either a) if Fed's nearly losing to Haas, surely Murray/Tsonga/someone else who's not a pussy like Haas will actually beat him; or b) the Haas match was a wake-up call and he'll hit his stride now, à la the Andreev match at the USO. I hope it's the latter - in the closing stages of the 3rd and opening games of the 4th, Fed was playing some really great, aggressive rallies.

Muzza is just a standard British colloquial diminutive of a name with an R in the middle, no one I know personally does it though.

Boredo Glad he had a nice run here after his hot start to the year.

Haas Been played quite well in the 1st set, at least. He's still a very talented player when he's not injured, and before the inevitable flaking.
This is looking a bit similar to Fed's 06 Aussie title, the Bagh one. He was lousy with minor spurts of JesusFed, and a wide open draw. Haas choked in R16. Kolya almost, almost had him in the QF. But, back then, the entire tour was terrified of him like he was a Willy.

I was wrong. Why is Jankovic hitting so short, like Rafa yesterday?

Bug forehand, fist pumps, dark brunette looks -- you tell me the WTA isn't hoping Ivanovic Lite makes it big.
Diet Ivanovic can volley better than BAG ever will, though.

Even if Diet BAG wins this and has a deep run here, the multitude of pathetic losses she's had make me pretty confident that she'll never make it big.
Tsonga vs Pony = testosterone-fuelled ball-bashing; huge winners, huge errors - AAGH, Jo Durie literally just SHOUTED at Chris Bradnam when he tried to hem and haw over predictions. "YOU CAN'T HEDGE YOUR BETS!" Terrifying.

See, I know Jo-Willy isn't dumb. I've seen him play smart matches before, and he has a huge amount of variety. But this is total Sprembledon, Grothosova level brainless ballbashing. That game at *0-3 in this set was just HORRID.

“It’s true that it’s a bit of a relief for all the players, because everybody sees it’s more open than in the past,” Federer said on French television of Nadal’s defeat. “I think it’s a bit of a shock in the locker room. Everybody believes, but it also can put on too much pressure.”
