I'm trying to figure out why the air has gone out of this event for me. I guess the third quarter really fell apart yesterday after Nole lost; try as I might, I just can't get too excited about either JMDP or JWT, and Boredo is kind of a Bore now. And now the top quarter is just a big ol' snooze. And since Roddick has no chance, the ultimate rounds have turned into a . I think I'm actually rooting for Muzza to win the title, because...at least that would be interesting. Any other scenario, even the Roger one, is just soporific to me. Don't even get me started on the women's draw. I'm trying to get amped for Safina but...again, I just can't. Jankovic would be nice...probably the only reasonable winner on either side I'd be actually thrilled for, and she doesn't have that much more of a chance than Roddick, let's be honest.

Serena's dubs match today lasted three hours! I hope that's good news for the remaining Woz. I'm a WozCan fan and would like to see her be the hero that Li Na could not be today.

Yes we CAN!
I'm not really a WozCan fan but I'll be rooting for her tomorrow. Ree would probably say something dumb and the story would make the front page of all our papers. I know she's probably going to roll over Woz 2 and 3 but it's nice to dream.

Serna met no resistance whatsoever. Fine, now we get Federer and see if he's paralyzed over Rafa's shock exit.
kuz in trouble in set 2.

Sweater now feeling the nerves :womenstennis: Apparently she stalled A-Rad's second set run with a bathroom break

The old bathroom break trick! I was just wondering the other day what had happened to that Hingis strategy. Fed loses the first set to backward-baseball-hatted Tommy.

Fed lost a set to Haas Been, one of the few players left who is still terrified of him? Freaking out! I guess he'll still win though.
Sweta seemed to do well in the third set… *grasps at straws*

Fed-error is back! Tommy is just so scary. This is pissing me off. I don't want to see anxious Fed, I want the old Fed back. We get enough of anxious on the women's tour! Though the multiple-Slam-holding women we would love to see get anxious never do. Fed is playing like the low-ranked women facing the top guns. I am really starting to turn against him, the way I finally did with Mauresmo in one of her stupid, scared & defensve matches. If I wanted to see a deer in the headlights I'd drive out in the country at night, not turn on a Fed match!

As much as we were joking about it yesterday, I didn't think the freak-out would actually happen, and especially not against HAAS!!!

Oh jeez, Sweata is not going to beat Ree now. Actually, REE vs MASHA final is a not so distant possibility at this point. Like Janie, I also started watching the match rooting for Federer but it's getting ridiculous now. Go home and play with Mirka.

Oh and Maria was playing well towards the end of her match yesterday. I don't think she'll make the final, but anything could happen at this point.

30-30 on the Haas serve, Fed has the open court...dumps FH into net. Follows it by FH wide.

BAG complained of strange dizziness yesterday. Djokovic, Nadal and Verdasco are already out, Federer is about to join them. These two are clearly related. Ana

Oh. Wow. And I came back to THIS?!?!?! WTF Rafa + LOL Roger! Could this be the start of the MurraySlam? That would be amazing. My favourite ATP player winning his first Slam on his weakest surface. Nope. Too good to be true.

Fed just hit the worst FH I've ever seen outside of a FVW errorfest to give Haas break point...saves it, though.
