Dang, I had Gonzo in the SF prior to the event, but swithed to Muzza for the PC. Lame.

I'm assuming we're not seeing much of the bloodbath because that's going to be NBC's tape-delay main course. So...this is doubly wondrous NBC

Meanwhile, the KOLYASLAM might not materialize. That was a pretty comprehensive beatdown! Didn't get to see 1 point of that; maybe ESPN will show a tape. ESPN and TTC better. From the set+ I've watched, Sod was amazing. Of course, Kolya will always give you the first strike, and Robin took advantage. I think we have to seriously consider The Nerd winning this now... he's handled Fit Dave, Rafa and Kolya in relatively easy fashion. It probably gets easier from here on.

Whatever happened to the "Maria's face looks the same no matter what the score is" cliché? No one's saying that today.
Rooting hard for the double bagel ...

6-0, 5-0? This is ridiculous. No wonder women's tennis is shit and Serena wins everything. You no longer have the great champion winning right away in their comebacks, like Seles and Graf. Maybe those two spoiled us - the rest of this pack seems mediocre in comparison.

Boy, was I off base about Cibulkova I had to be right once this tournament. For realz. And she keeps trying them, too. It's truly a wonder how Maria made the QF while playing such mediocre tennis. But, yeah, Women's Tennis and Nadejda Petrova.

Just because Graf or Seles came back and started dominating right away, could be viewed as a reflection on their overwhelming superiority rather than the field sucking. And their tennis was lethal. Right now, it's a joke. Sharapova coming back, albeit on her weakest surface, is a disaster. Maybe, I'm being too harsh, but did this ever happen to Monica on grass against a Cibulkova calibre player (as much as I love SexyDomi!)? Maybe we can't rate today's girls at a Seles-Graf level.

That was 1-6, 1-5, IIRC. But Kurhajcova def Raymond from 0-6, 0-5 down a couple of years ago. Regardless, Masha is NOT winning this. She's playing horrid and is down 0-6, 0-5.

MJF was 1-6 1-5 down. But I remember the Kurhajcova vs. Raymond match, one of them was leading 6-0 5-0 and lost. Can't remember which one.

And maybe a similar situation with Novotna and Rubin here too, right? Yes, that was 5-0, 40-0 final set. I was always rooting for Masha in this match, but I'd hope that wouldn't happen. It would scar Domi for years and years to come and we already have WAY too many scarred punching bags on the WTA.
