4-2 - Williams holds her serve, just. At 30-15 she seemed to have some sort of brain freeze as she just dinked the ball over the court when it was screaming for a smash. She serves it out with a serve which spins Kuznetsova around 360 degrees.

Heh, we're going to miss a huge chunk of Fed-Mofees. Poor television...tennis never goes the way you want it to, does it

4-3 - That looked nasty, the ball was coming straight to Kuznetsovan and she would have easily have returned the ball. However, she goes over on her ankle. She could have twisted her ankle but she seems ok, the ball boy helps her brush off all of the clay. But even more importantly, SERENA BREAKS BACK.

Um...actually, it is always a break regardless of what happens afterwards.

Wow, the crowd goes WILD at the end of that Stosur match. LOL That roar was something else, eh? Hehe. The WTA Tour is in real trouble. Three good players nobody likes, 9000 sucky girls who nobody cares about, and broken Sharapova. Dun dun dun.

I guess Serena never broke Sweater because Sweater broke back. Oh, wait, she did break her. Hence the "back." Moron. Anyway. Sweater serving for the match.

Serena will now win like seven games in a row, drop one through careless errors, then not drop another point. Just like in Australia.

MP: Cirstea hit a return near the baseline. No call briefly...no one cheers. Eventually it gets called out, and...Stosur walks to the net. And 10 people clap.

I mean, this is merely laying the groundwork for her eventual 7-6, 5-7, 1-6 loss, but still. Great TB! From 7-6, 5-3 up ofcourse!

I have to give Stosur credit: no stupid histrionics, even though that had to be the best moment of her career.
Has Stosur won a singles title? No, right? And I do recall scoffing when Aussies kept insisting she could be a top player. Hell, in 2009...

Sweta's service game at *5-5 was even worse than when she tried to serve out the match.

It's not the service game at 5-3. All women lose serve when serving for the match. But at 5-4, she missed two easy forehand returns. You can't do that.

Also the pathetic *5-5 game. And she had chances when Serena was making errors while trying to serve out the set. Get into the TB, and anything might happen.

Sweta broken to open the third set I don't think any of us need to type anything from here on in, just refer to the AO thread.

Sveta has managed to totally take the steam out of the match, causing Serena to hit three ridiculous errors in a row. Smart gal.
