Booooooooooooooooooooo Malisse. I believe Santiago Gonzalez was a Wmby jr doubles champ. Checking.... Almost! 2001 doubles final: Finals-Frank Dancevic/Giovanni Lapentti (8) defeated Bruno Echagary/Santiago Gonzalez (1), 6-1,6-4 Ah, memories! The girls' final: Angelique Widjaja (8) defeated Dinara Safina (15), 6-4,0-6,7-5 Sveta lost in the quarters to Baltacha!

Whoa, Brinyi has the memory of a youngster! That 2001 girls' final & quarters are extreme Though Bally probably would have had a decent (top 75) career if not for all her health problems.

Wow, Michael Yani, the ultimate journeyman, qualifies! That's quite a feat. It'd be nice if I knew if this was his first Slam ever, at 29, but lord knows where to find Grand Slam results for players on the newly-revamped and computer-breaking ATP website.

It'd be nice if I knew if this was his first Slam ever, at 29, but lord knows where to find Grand Slam results for players on the newly-revamped and computer-breaking ATP website. It was his first time at Wimbly, I did read that. The only other Slam action he has seen was at this year's AO (lost 1rQ to Hrbaty) and last year's USO (where he did win a match in qualies).

Thanks Yi Well. That's something. Good for him. I mean, I doubt I'll root for him, but it's a hell of a story.

Yeah -- I see he had 4 Futures titles from 2004 and 2006 but didn't win a Challenger until last year.
Speaking of journeymen, a certain Grega Zemlja out of Slovenia just qualified.
