Lulz, Kirilenko is so reliably rubbish in situations like being up a break in the third set.

A-Rad/Kirilenko is actually a good match as well How apt that Stupid Safin's USO epitaph should be a scoreline like 6-1, 4-6, 3-6, 4-6.

Kirilenko was actually really excellent at the end. Her BH was on fire, I don't think I've ever seen her play so well. A-Rad wasn't playing badly, either.

Makiri seemed to be channeling Mashara, she was hitting bigger and grunting louder than I've ever seen her before. Well said. You like those nicknames, huh Joana? I have not heard the name Mashara in a few years. Little Masha was ripping the ball in that match and had 44 winners against a great defensive player like Radwanksa. When Aga cruised 6-2 in the second set it looked like another third set meltdown for Maria was in store. I'm surprised Masha won the match. It's a season saving win for her. Sad to see Safin go out like that. Marat should have had a better career than he did but he will with 2 grand slam singles titles and 2 davis Cup titles still rightfully end up in the International Tennis Hall of Fame someday. Safin still remains the only man 6'4" tall or taller to win more than 1 grand slam singles title in a career.

Good Night, Sweet Marat. Martina summed up your career nicely. "A waste of a career." God, I love her.
I love Gael, also. He played nice and aggressive today, vs. a decent opponent in Chardy. If only he can keep that up, and not retreat 100 feet behind the baseline.
