It could still be fun if one of these upset girls could stay the course and mow down more and more players right to the end. Trophy for Miss Oudin! But unless more top players' grandmothers suddenly bite the dust, which of course even the most evil of us would never, ever wish for , it's just not in the cards.

Link to stream for Venus' match, please? Won't the US Open site itself stream this one?

Ok, watching the last set now, I can't say Princess Vika is FIGHTER!!11 again for the next year. Choker. Sucks. She's just like everyone else. I'll cry with her.

Link to stream for Venus' match, please? Won't the US Open site itself stream this one? Will I be able to view it, being outside the US? Let me try!

Not available.
Maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't watch since she'll win 6-3, 6-1. I should just go to sleep instead.

Usually someone at TF has a link to some stream; you could check there. But, yeah, sleeping is a better idea at this stage in the tournament. Save your late nights for the later rounds!

I know, it was seriously disappointing. In the spring she really looked like the next big thing but next thing you know she Deadisova'd on us.

So will this be a merciless Kimmy double bagel, or will she gift her countrywoman a game? What would the other saints do, Kim?

Flipper held! And she had 0-40 for a break, but it's back to DOOSE. KFC decided that enough was enough.

Magdalena Rybarikova has the best serve in women's tennis outside of the Williams sisters. But I haven't see Rybarikova play before so maybe I'm overreacting a bit to her serve. Sadly Magdalena just played one the worst return of serve games I have ever seen at 2-4 in the first set against Venus Williams.

Kim lost 2 games.
I'm worried.

Kim lost 2 games. I'm worried. Worried about what? Kim Clijsters could go all the way in New York.

Well done to Taylor Dent on a remarkable fifth set tiebreak win over Ivan Navarro. Great efforts and clutch play by both players.

DENTHEAD! I thought he died.
Anyway, I woke up for Rafa-Kiefer, but haven't really bothered to watch any of it, on account of being SICK. I probably don't have a parasitic worm, but I have managed to convince myself that I just passed one and that it laid 200 000 eggs. This is a partly true story.

One of my students said that Rafa had changed his game up a little because of the whole broken knees thing. Seeking to confirm this is part of why I decided to tune in today. I'm not seeing it, but maybe the worm ate part of my brain.

Rafa can't change. That's why his career will end early.

Ive decided it wasn't a worm.
Anyway, his career will probably end early, but I wouldn't say he can't change.

Can't say I'm sorry to see Generation Suck go down the shitter.
And the fact that some of them had me fooled for a while makes it even funnier.
