A shame about Nadal and his injured stomach muscles. He's in deep trouble as far as finishing this match with a win goes. And Rafa is certainly he's in deep trouble as far as winning the 2009 U.S. Open goes. I hope the rain delay is over fast and they can finish the match tonight. It's imperative that Nadal beats Gonzalez in straight sets tonight and gets treatment all day Friday without even practicing. This is my best case scenario for Nadal tonight.

cat, is ESPN still on the air? What are they saying are the prospects for the rain to clear out tonight so the match can resume? They thought it would be s short rain delay but that's not the case. ESPN2 is now showing the Williams sisters doubles wn from this afternoon. The USTA knows Nadal has an injury to his abdomin and that playing in the afternoon when it was much warmer with less chance of rain than at night when it's colder and they knew it would rain would be beneficial for Nadal and the U.S. Open. Why gamble with Nadal and their weekend? They could have increased their chances of having Nadal in the final going for a career grand slam but instead they chose the wrong route which decreases Nadal's chances to make the finals and he's not even out of the woods tonight. Especially if he can't get loose in the cooler weather. A Federer/Nadal final would light it up. Even if Rafa is at about 70% health. But a Federer/Del Portro final would not light it up. Who wants to see Federer play another over matched player in a grand slam final?

And John McEnroe was highly praising her game today. But I just can't understand these athletes who are so very, very far from being in good shape. I really hope she'll watch a tape of that final, both to be inspired by John's words and to be horribly embarrassed by the way she looks.

Her dad Bill was a pitchers for the Mets, Tigers and other teams in his major league baseball career. He was a big pitcher in a thick way and Carly has his genes.

Who wants to see Federer play another over matched player in a grand slam final? The USO shouldn't schedule to favour certain players, Rafa included. However, the schedule is stupid because of Stupid Satirday, and that's never going to change. This is why AO>USO, these days.

“In mixed doubles in the past I’ll end up double faulting more because I have to get a lot of free points,” Parrott said. “With Carly, put a good serve in there, and she’ll eat it up.” Female tennis players should, as a rule, have less body fat than me. While Carly is almost certainly fitter than I am, she has failed at this.

I have no idea what verb I was reaching for. It was early! Either way, he stunk, but was injured. He is now better. The End! Oh! Thanks a lot for the correction. That was definitely a confusing post! The drinking bit was tossed in so casually at the end, like it's so ordinary for pro tennis players to come to their matches drunk, or like Del Pony got drunk with you the night before his match and somehow got injured. You know, like Gasquet.
