And go FLAMES! Torch the damned Wings. We want some Stevie Y barbecue. I like Stevie so don't barbecue him. How about Chelios When he played with Chicago in 1989, he's the #1 enemy for Flames and my niece, who was 3 at that time, kept misinterpret Chelios as Cheerios and whenever the hocky games were on TV or radio, she wanted her cereal

Habs is another BIG hole. Bigger than the 1-3 they were in 1st round.
GO HABS!
And Leafs better win their next game. Otherwise, they are in as big a hole as Habs!

Leafs' C Nieuwendyk to miss second straight game
TORONTO (AP) - Maple Leafs center Joe Nieuwendyk will sit out Game 3 of Toronto's second-round playoff series with Philadelphia on Wednesday night, the second straight game he'll miss because of back problems.
Nieuwendyk, who leads Toronto with five playoff goals, skated Wednesday for the first time since Game 1 of the series last Thursday.
"I'm getting better every day," Nieuwendyk said. "I think tomorrow I'll get a practice in and step it up a little bit and then go from there."
The Leafs, who host Game 4 on Friday, trail the best-of-seven series 2-0.
Clarke Wilm took Nieuwendyk's place in a 2-1 loss at Philadelphia on Sunday. But Leafs coach Pat Quinn is considering shuffling his lineup by going with gritty forward Wade Belak, who has yet to play this postseason.
The Leafs, who have just two goals against the Flyers, could certainly use Nieuwendyk, who's scored almost a third of Toronto's 16 playoff goals.
Philadelphia defenseman Kim Johnsson could return for Game 4, coach Ken Hitchcock said. Johnsson is considered doubtful for Wednesday and missed the first two games of the series with a broken bone in his right hand.

I saw the game when it was 1-0 for the Habs, next thing you know it's 1-2 and I'm thinking they're toast--French toast, bien sur! Then it's 1-3 and what a Croque, Monsieur!

One thing I'm so proud of Flames is everyone work very, very hard. Talent-wise, Flames were totally outcasted by Red Wings but everyone keep skating and hitting and skating. Boys, hard work always pay.

Nieuwendyk returned to the line up and scored a goal but that's not enough as Leafs lost a humiliating match 2-7.

Flames DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you boys. You face a team that has double the talents and pay check but you guys have bigger hearts and work ethnic. When comes to playoff, that's what counts. Be restful! A more difficult task is in front of you. There are lots of bruises and bums on your bodies but not your hearts or spirit.

My monologue in the tennis forum continues.
This has nothing to do with playoff but it's funny.
10 Games… is 10 Games
5/5/2004
The Salary Cap issue may be a non-starter when it comes to negotiations between the National Hockey League and the Players Association on a new collective bargaining agreement, but apparently the idea of shortening the NHL schedule from 82 games to 72 games is not. It's easy to see why. For the owners, ultimately they will see less games as less money to have to eventually spend on players. For the players, ultimately they will see less games as less of a chance to suffer career-shortening injuries.
Here's what I think 10 less games a year will mean for the NHL.
Mark Messier will play until he's 60, eventually frozen in carbonite like Han Solo and wheeled on to the ice.
Wayne Gretzky will return to play on the Coyotes' fourth line and score 20 goals, his line mate, Gordie Howe, will win the Lady Byng.
Mike Commodore will look like a bearded Neil Patrick Harris from "Doogie Howser" instead of a young Bill Walton, simply because of insufficient growth time.
Darryl Sutter will have his anger concentrated into a shorter time period, making his head explode
Jeremy Roenick will be around his teammates for 10 less games, meaning 10 less games for his teammates to have to pretend to like him.
The Florida Panthers will break out the golf clubs in mid-March instead of early April.
John Tortorella will have less opportunity to criticize his own players, and will begin to criticize his own family and friends, telling them to "Sit On It"
Pittsburgh Penguins Fans will have 10 less games to not attend.
Brian Burke will have 10 less games to shape his Vancouver Canucks into a Cup Contender, continuing the hard work he has put in the last six years… oh…that's right… never mind.
Bob McKenzie, with 10 less games to work with, will find himself digging up "Insider" information on TSN staff, revealing what had been rumored for several years... I have no talent, and Dan O'Toole is a robotic boy invented by Bill Nye the Science Guy.
NHL Mascots will find it tougher to make ends meet, forcing Carlton The Bear and Harvey the Hound to move in together. Hilarity ensues!
Alexei Yashin will have to work even less for his outrageous salary.
The Detroit Red Wings will choke in the playoffs that much sooner
The Toronto Maple Leafs will break their fans hearts that much sooner.
The Calgary Flames will become Canada's team that much sooner.
Jay Onrait will have one less article to write on hockey, giving him more time to watch vintage Spider-man cartoons on The Comedy Network and answer his e-mail at jonrait@tsn.ca
Then again, to quote Barry Bonds "Half the stuff I say, I don't believe"
