That was an exciting Game 7 for WSH-NYR. I kind of thought Sergei Kournikov was dead, but he was the hero at 99 years old.
I guess I will root for the Caps because WSH is in a tizzy. It's like they're the Redskins or something, except it looks like this moronic town's stupidly heightened expectations are close to being warranted this time.

Oh, I missed this. Ovechkin is a hideously ugly man. The Caps are pretty good now, though. But I hope they lose. Horribly.

Did you just stop watching, Burley? Last game featured Ovechkin and Crosby not only vying for the title of ugliest man (Ovechkin wins by a hair, due to his appearing to be some type of prehistoric of man, whereas Crosby has more equine features), but also scoring a hat trick each. Somewhere, Malkin is wondering why he's been left out of both of these contests.

I'm still watching, though I missed the end of tonight's...I did see all the crazy hat-throwing! Wheeeeeee!
I would do Crosby.

PITTSBURGH (AP)—Police say they’ve traced an Internet death threat made against Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin to a 17-year-old boy.
Pittsburgh Lt. Kevin Kraus says the boy lives in Chambersburg, which is about 125 miles east-southeast of Pittsburgh. Kraus says state police have talked to the boy, but no charges were immediately filed.
The boy’s name wasn’t released because he’s a juvenile.
The posting on a hockey message board read, “I’m killing Ovechkin. I’ll go to jail. I don’t care anymore.”
The Capitals and Penguins play Game 4 in Pittsburgh on Friday night. The series continues in Washington with Game 5 on Saturday night.

WSH-PIT Game 4 1-1 before the four-minute mark. Women's tennis?

Ovechkin is a wreckless douche. If he did, as it appears, take Gonchar out for the series with that knee-on-knee retardation that he pulled, then I hope that he gets his before the playoffs are through. I have no use for players who wrecklessly or intentionally injure other players. While the severity of the injury may not have been intended, it certainly wasn't an accident.
That said, I don't wish to kill him. What the fuck is wrong with people?

Also, that's a perfect example of why messageboard behaviour is generally so retarded - sports boards tend to be over run with minors. Gross.

Yeah. Sports boards should be banned.
As for the knee-on-knee...I don't think the direct collision was intentional. I mean, yes, it was a trip, but I don't think he went into it with the express purpose of bashing knees (dirty?). I mean, he could have ruined his knee there too, right? It probably should have been a five-minute major regardless of intent, but I'm not sure he should miss games. I certainly hope Gonchar will be okay, of course.
Anyway. 2-2. Series living up to Da Hype!!!1 Game 5 today even though they have to travel. They are allegedly accommodating a Yanni concert?

Obviously. Its Yanni.

Intentional knee-on-knee hits are one of the dirtier stunts you can pull. And yes, they're stupid as you do have the possibility of injuring yourself, as well, if it doesn't go quite as planned. Ovechkin probably didn't mean to do that, exactly, but if you play like a wreckless douche all the time, that shit is going to happen. So, I will not be sad if bad things happen to him. On ice, that is.
Regardless, yeah - good series. Woo!

Fair enough.
I know if I really wanted to get someone's goat, I would endanger my knee in order to possibly destroy theirs.
Oh, no, wait. That's dumb.

I have no issue believing that Ovechkin is dumb.
Besides, it's not actually that dangerous for the person who is setting up the knee-on-knee hit. There is some danger, but there is danger of hurting yourself on any aggressive play. Either way, it's unlikely that your knee is going to bend the wrong way. If it was, this wouldn't be a thing.
Either way, thank God for the win. Gonchar is out for weeks so we won't go further than this anyways, but it would be awful to see the Caps win after that.
Yes, I'm holding a grudge. It may extend through next season, or until somebody takes out Ovechkin.

Man, what a brutal ending to an otherwise epic series. At least nobody can reasonably doubt that Crosby is totally clutch; he managed to outscore even Ovechkin.

(Crosby has a lot of haters, in case you were wondering. It's sort of all the rage to hate the Cros and have a man crush on Ovy)

Oh, and I'm now an Ovechkin hater after his cunty cunt knee-on-knee hit. If this were the good ol' days, goons would have attacked him constantly.

Yeah, this was awesome. Fleury kicked his choker label for good. Dude had lost a couple of huge games due to soft goals in the past. In game 6 of the final last year against Detroit, he slid into the net with the puck under his ass to give them the winning goal.

Also, I have a couple of Crosby hating friends. Which.. I don't get. He's so boring and inoffensive. He used to whine and dive a lot, but now he only dives about as much as Forsberg. Which is to say, regularly, but not all the time. Hating on him must be so boring. And painful.
Now when they say he's overrated I can laugh, yawn in their faces, and call them stupid. I mean, I did that already, but now they got nothin.

I'm going to kill this as a subforum when I get home tonight, if I remember. I see that I made a note to do that almost a year ago, and didn't.
Anyway... Burley, if you're still in WASH, this might actually be the Craps year. But I hope not, because they are crap.

They won the President's Trophy, which means they have home ice advantage for the entire playoffs. This means nothing if they go out in Round 1, of course. It can be good, though.
