This "Pironkova is hot" meme has always perplexed me. She has a weird pointy hairline, a mustache, and a bizarre overbite. Or is it like with men, where faces NOC?

I really do think the Tsveti-Bepa scoreline will be akin to what I joked about above.
This is a golden opportunity for Vera...to have her MOST ULTIMATE MELTDOWN EVER. And she will not let it slip away!!

Is Bepa even playing well? Or is she just a benefactor of a draw imploding perfectly for her like I figure.

If she beat Clijsters she must play ok at the very least.

Oh....now I get it. Tsveti's mother looks exactly like her. That's pretty hot at 40. So...you ride the weird stuff out to land a MILF till you die. A good plan.

Is Bepa even playing well? How could that possibly matter? All the semi-finalists are beneficiaries of the SEWTA being totally shit. We're in the twilight zone era of women's tennis. If Serena retires tomorrow we will have a Kvitova-Pironkova final. At Wimbledon. Just after a Stosur-Schiavone final at the French Open. And then Bychkova will play Rodionova for the US Open title.

This "Pironkova is hot" meme has always perplexed me. She has a weird pointy hairline, a mustache, and a bizarre overbite. Or is it like with men, where faces NOC? She isn't hot, she's pretty. And I didn't think that when I'd seen her matches or pics in previous years, so you can imagine my surprise. It's not a body thing, like it is with Caro who has a smoking bod but average face. I just like looking at Pironkova. Oh....now I get it. Tsveti's mother looks exactly like her. That's pretty hot at 40. So...you ride the weird stuff out to land a MILF till you die. A good plan. I didn't give this much thought, but the more I think of it the more I like the plan. Thanks!

No one will argue that SEWTA doesn't blow, but it's bad luck that Henin and Clijsters / Silliams and Sharapova were in the same part of the draw. If the draw had turned out differently and those 2 matches would be the semi-final, no one would say a word about SEWTA sucking.

It's easy to say that. But, I would have bet $1M on Venus not losing before the final with her draw, too.

I wouldn't have put money on Justine or Maria making the SF out of any part of the draw. The last time we were this certain about the winner at the SF stage, Shove This Fucking Ball Down Your Fucking Throat happened. I hope for something equally awesome!

This "Pironkova is hot" meme has always perplexed me. She has a weird pointy hairline, a mustache, and a bizarre overbite. Or is it like with men, where faces NOC?I think it's more the opposite. Long torso and short legs - she hasn't got the stereotypical leggy female tennis player build, but her face and overall presence make up for it. (BTW Pironkova's unusual proportions actually help her a lot on grass - she has a lower center of gravity than her leggier counterparts) She has very pretty, lively eyes. Beautiful dark hair. She's a devastatingly cute tomboy. Plus those intangibles that you can't quite put into words - I remember when she was here at the Biggest, Bestest Tournament in the World, whenever she showed up in her shiny white tracksuit you couldn't take your eyes off her. Like Ali said: "I just like looking at Pironkova". And yes, Radosveta is amaze. A figure like a teenager's.

Bepa has now officially done better than the last time she played Tsveti, at least.

Pironkova one set away from a Wimbledon final, but she's playing really well. Bepa really should have done more than net a backhand on the third setpoint.
