Also the men's final. Which starts in an hour and a half. Why is there no thread yet.

I just woke up - and it's nearly 5pm.
Go Berdych!

I have a pleasant case of NOC brought on by liking both players about equally. I hope it's a good match!

That was a bit like yesterday's first set. The way Bepa played her first three service games - and even pushed Serena in hers - gave a false impression of how effective she could be when Serena stepped up.
Though I think Berdman is likely to be better from here on in than Bepa was.

Nadal opens second set with super-sloppy service game, inc two DFs and dumb UEs, Berdman has three BPs...and still can't take advantage.

They're both taking the route of being worse than Bepa was now.

Wow, such a crappy end of the set. 7-5 to Nadal. So many errors from both.

I care. I just didn't feel like making the thread. Also, I'm so fucking tired I don't want to wait up for this end to end, but I will anyway.

I'm rooting for Rafa obviously, and he's giving Berdman so many chances, but he's wasting all the opportunities. It's not like Rafa is playing lights-out tennis on crucial points.

Its not the best final ever.

This match sucks. How haven't you realized after 3 sets and playing Rafa 112 times that he's left-handed and you have to stand a couple feet wider returning on the ad side. Fuck you, Safarov. Lucie is so cute, though.

Average match, but not the worst Wimbledon final I've ever seen. Good somersault, at least. Also, excellent (unofficial) title defense for somebody that was supposed to lose to Gulbis, and whoever else is apparently better on grass.

Congrats Rafa! All sets ended with Rafa breaking Tomas serve. Didn't even had to serve for it. I love the interviewer, trying to convince us that it was a tough-played match and how the players had to play 'their best'.

Yay! ;D
I'm surprised that they didn't mention the wind more, it's blowing a gale here and I thought before the match birdman doesn't like the wind.

I'm rooting for Rafa obviously, and he's giving Berdman so many chances, but he's wasting all the opportunities. It's not like Rafa is playing lights-out tennis on crucial points. This sums it up fairly well. Both started really well, the first six games were the best of the match and during those it really looked like it could be a classic. Then Rafa visibly stepped up and made Berdych look hapless at the end of the first set, and that seemed to inform the rest of the match - even though it was just one set, thereafter Berdych was basically just fighting to keep it close, and never looked like he thought he could win, even when Rafa presented chance after chance to him. He was brainless by the end. Like Silliams' win yesterday, the manner of Rafa's winning reinforced what makes him great. Also, I'm sure his FH is an even more effective kill shot nowadays.

Nice work, Rafa I don't seem to mind having missed both finals, though.
