JJ very nice to Lucic at the net. Good run for Lucic. According to JJ, "Mirjana is a really nice girl" and "we often talk in the lockerroom". I don't know when they actually have the opportunity to do so, but hey. As for the match, phew.

I enjoyed the match more than I'd expect to enjoy a match with so many UEs. Nice to see what ML can do with the ball and good to see JJ hitting some of her classic shots so well when it counted. But what's going on with Kirilenko losing to Mooseburger? This is why I will never, ever be an MK fan.

Isn't Makiri injured and was on verge of pulling out of the US Open? I think that's how the story went on WTAW.

I guess JJ and Mirjana must talk at Bradenton, because they hadn't played the same tournaments, like, ever, until Wimbledon.
Kirilenko hurt her back at New Haven, IIRC.

Though even the points she wins are heart-in-mouth. So close to the lines! Everything! That's just Lucic -------------------------------------- Everything done above this line was typed about, oh, an hour ago, before 9000 attorneys called me and ruined my life by waiting until 5:00 on the day before a deposition to ask me questions. One said, I shit you not, "I'm having a panic attack about this" and then, after I calmed him down, told me he inadvertently scheduled this deposition in the Bourbon capital of...America? The World? (This would be Bardstown, KY.) I finally got them all satiated and then screamed in my office. So I don't even know who won. What I do know is I should totally be whacking my barrel at this Melzer-Berankis match.

Well, she's back on track now, thankfully. The Moose in r3 would be very dampening. Maybe JJ and Mirjana frequently meet up in a Florida bar named The Lockerroom.

SUNSHINE WOZNIACKI: No, I'm feeling great. I'm feeling good. I feel fresh. I feel like it's a new tournament. I'm all recovered from everything, and I'm just happy to be playing and to be injury free and everything is perfect.

Random, but I don't know where else this fits: I met a friend tonight who was talking to me about how someone she met was shocked that she was younger than her elder sister since she didn't look it. She said she was thinking of changing her name to Old Hag. This made me laugh for many reasons.
