Wozniacki hits 2 DFs but 2 winners as well in being broken in the opening game. Here's hoping Sevastova can spring the upset.

This girl is playing good, I hope I don't jinx her
I don't think Wozniacki is better than prime Conchita Martinez, who was nevr good enough for numero 1, that is not hyperbole, Conchita at least had a very good forehand.

I'd agree on Wozniacki not being better than prime Conchita. I had to think long and hard of how she'd fare when I saw the Wozniacki vs Testud thread on TF.
I hope Sevastova can keep this up. She's playing well so far - I'm bracing myself for the inevitable collapse that always occurs.

It was just a matter of time before Sevastova's shots would start missing the lines. Meanwhile, Woz is now hitting the ball with a bit more purpose. I call it 6-4 6-2.

Hey, doubles NOC on Eurosport. That doesn't happen a lot.

Woz modelling her new dress: As for Sev, lots of girls can play really well for a couple of games, just like lots of golfers can have a great round or 2. Serve out a set against a top player and you deserve some respect. Serve out a match and you deserve a whole lot of it. Unfortunately, so far Sev has shown nothing but typical Women's Tennis form -- get ahead, then start with the UEs.

Hey, doubles NOC on Eurosport. That doesn't happen a lot. Who's playing to deserve that?

Hey, doubles NOC on Eurosport. That doesn't happen a lot. Who's playing to deserve that? The Bryans vs Koh/Bec, whoever that may be. But I'm not really watching because NOC! Although maybe I should, it can't be worse than the thrilling encounter on RLA. I see 6-4 6-2 was too optimistic.

The match is not interesting, but I try to watch Woz as often as I can to try to figure out how she wins so many matches and tournaments. I think she's playing better, smarter as the tournament wears on.
Boring or not, if you're playing against someone who's erratic, and that is most of the WTA, then nothing's wrong with just keeping the ball in play and waiting for their inevitable error. Tennis would have no fans if everyone played this way, though Evert had plenty of fans back in the day and she played that way. Of course it turned out she was sleeping with everyone on the planet, so no wonder she had lots of fans!

Something wrong with Woz? She is sooo phlegmatic.
Sadly her opponent is too bad to capitalize.

Wow, she's got more personality than the entire bottom half of the draw!

The TSN feed is showing Milosh's presser. Every other question right now is about how "Canadian" he feels and how close he is to moving and playing for Montenegro.

Kuz has had at least 0-30 on the last 3 Ski service games, then 3mps which Ski saved with sooper serves, then goes down 0-40 herself and I think hahaha shes going to lose but she didn't yet. Very entertaining.
