I like Varinka - I really do. But you guys, we need a Rafa-Roger final! If Rafa Slams and Roger doesn't face him people will say, "Oh, but you didn't beat Roger." But if we get that title match there will be no excuses. The RafaSlam either happens or it doesn't. Roger returns the favor from 2006/2007 or he doesn't.
Now ... it's a tough match for Roger. Yes, the head-to-head favors him. Yes, he knows that guy really well. But Varinka is rolling through guys easier than Roger at this point.
One thing in Roger's favor: it is not a night match. I know Stan can play in the daytime but he's done so well in two night matches that we know he's really comfortable with that.
Another thing in Roger's favor: he's probably going to hurt Stan on the forehand service return. I actually expect Roger to serve significantly better than Andy did. Something in Stan's favor, apart from his great form: he knows he can win. He beat him once before, he was Roger's doubles partner and he really had him on the ropes in their last match in Stockholm on a fast court. He won't be afraid and he will believe.
But I really want the Rafa-Roger final. It's the only fitting way for this tournament to end! Anything less will not do.

Also, by doing that, they have to give up Roger's career slam, and why would they wanna do that? STAN STAN STAN

If Rafa Slams and Roger doesn't face him people will say, "Oh, but you didn't beat Roger." But if we get that title match there will be no excuses. Those people would be morons. If Roger's not good enough to even make it to the final, he really isn't in a position to stop Rafa (or whoever ends up winning the tournament).

I want a Rafa/Roger final... sort of. I'd probably prefer a Rafa/Djokovic final, though. I really don't need a clip show of the last time Rafa/Roger played a final here; Roger's most pathetic moments caught on tape, for sure.

Li lost her opening service game from 40-0 up and barely made a dent in Petkorazzi's first. Then Li turned ON and has barely lost a point since. Clinical stuff.

It's weird how Lee Na can go from dominating to utter poop in an instant. It's not like she's a stupid ballbasher, either.
That was a horrible matchup for Petkorazzi. An angle master vs. a girl who is horrible hitting anything on the run, especially on the FH side. Well, Andrea was probably lucky to get this far anyway.
