www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/scores/draws/ms/index.htmlwww.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/scores/draws/ws/index.html- Another horrible opener for Krumm, also Lucic - Li drawing Kvitova in her 4R is vexing - Nole's vicious draw Delpo in the 3R, then a resurgent Wussquet or Bellz in the 4R Or...if Delpo's still affected by the injury, it might not turn out so vicious. - Wownic to beat Muzza in the 3R? Hmmmmm. - Flo/Fed 1R...wouldn't bet on it being as close as their Madrid face-off though. - Nadal/Kolya 3R...could be a surprise (as in, Kolya maybe takes a set). - I guess Fran goes down to Peng unless she ~rediscovers the magic~?

I just knew Lucic would get a 1R like that.

Stosur will either win or lose in the SF. It's going to be one of two trends:
2009 - SF 2010 - F 2011 - W
OR
2009 - SF 2010 - F 2011 - SF

The top eighth is intriguing: - Nadal-Isner for the freakish appeal; - Kohlschreiber has some possibilities as he won the Querrey lottery - Interesting Once Proud tilt with Tursunov-Malisse - and a dandy Monaco-Verdasco matchup. Soderling lucked out with a really cushy draw -- seeds in his path to the quarters are Bagh, Simon and Fish, he'll play a Q in 2R, and no dangerous floaters that I can see. Then he will probably play Nadal, but you know he can't reach the final every year. Yeah, Thornhill-Mopey is an intriguing prospect. If Murray gets past Frank. Dolgirlie a possible R16 opponent, and I like Fathead to advance to the last eight. I see no obstacle to a Fit Dave vs Roj quarterfinal. I agree with Lex about the minefields in Nole's bracket from the 2R on.

I wonder if we're not overrating Ferrer. I was thinking he might upset Fed but on the other hand Ferrer is a big 0-11 against him lifetime. Yes, it's clay, yes Fed is not playing that well, but still.
I hope we get a wacky women's Open that heralds some new stars like we had ten years ago.

What possible new stars are there, though? Most candidates in the MD had already emphatically shown themselves unheraldworthy by their Tour performances. Garcia was quite something, I guess.
8/16 predictions in each draw. Not great.

I hope it's not an ominous sign that Caroline Garcia was stretched to 9-7 in the third, in r2 of the Juniors! And her opponent was a very unheralded Catalina Pella of Argentina. So, we'll see.
