First up on Court Centrale is Razzano. I ... wonder if she'll be able to really play. It's going to be quite emotional, I think.
After that Maria gets to decimate Mirjana and Rafa gets to dominate Isner.

Francesca shares a thought about coming back to defend her title:
"That court is fantastic," she said. "You know when you go home and your mum does everything for you and you feel comfortable? I felt like this, but with a lot of adrenaline."

I'm sure Razzano will have the crowd behind her and an outpouring of sympathy. I hope she can string together a few wins for a decent run. I wanted to watch Masha-Lucic and Nadal-Isner too. Why did I get my haircut scheduled for today?

Have the barber come to your house, like in The Barber of Seville! Aren't you watching Andy, Ali? Lots of breaks in the Razzano match, but she's not being routed. Amazing.

36 16. Poor Virginie. Someone at TF said they saw Lucic practicing with Craybas. I don't think that will be the best preparation for playing Sharapova, but I guess you take what you can get in practice sessions. Hope she can win a couple games anyway.

The Morita/Mladenovic match isn't bad, Ayumi was playing better than I've ever seen her play in opening up a 5-2 second set lead. Choking at the moment though

Lulz, after about 2.5 games of this Sharapova Lucic horror show, the longest rally has been like 2 strokes.

Morita comes back from 3-5 in the third and battles through a huge final game to win on her first MP. Kiki is too erratic and a bit negative, but Ayumi's definitely stepped her own game up (as indicated by her results this year). And she's so composed, too. Never looked like she doubted herself.
