Couldn't take advantage of Maria's serve deserting her in the 4-4 game. Garcia Why is Rafa losing a set to Andujar?

Pablo Andujar is the best looking active player (no homo), now, that is a handsome player and not Djokovic

damn, now that st. Kim is out, i could safely root against sharapova. I knew Garcia won't be able to hold on. So Rafa is awful again didnt expect any different. I'm on my route to moscow, so i'm following everything via livescores

I don't know is Andujar is playing like a God or if Rafa could lose to Chela today, and I am watching the match

That was classic SEWTA by Garcia. You know she did her homework.

Disappointed to see KING KOLYA go down in five to Veic (?!) - gotta think with Rafa in this form he'd have had a great shot in the next round. Weird to remember that KING KOLYA started off 2011 by beating Fed and Nadal b2b.

Weird to remember that KING KOLYA started off 2011 by beating Fed and Nadal b2b. That would be weird to remember since it did not occur. He did that in 2010. In 2011 he beat Rafa but lost the title match to Fed. Bad loss to Veic, though.

so how did rafa turned it around? Was he waiting for 1-5 to start playing?

I wonder whether Sharapova could lose to her clone Wickmayer or maybe the pesky Pole Radwanska? Going way down to Garcia doesn't fill me with confidence for her chances.
Kim losing was ... predictable, but I didn't ever think it would be in that fashion in that match. You would think that Kim would have learned at some point to slow the tempo of a match when she's falling apart but she never seems to. But I agree with Lex - she won't let it bother her at all. I think when she's done playing the match she's done with it mentally too. On to Wimbledon and she'll see how it goes there.
So ... Kirilenko-Rus for a place in round 4. I think you have to like Maria in that one.
They would play Petkovic-the winner of AMG-Gajdosova. Petko is going through a baptism by fire in this event and I like her to get through. Another good win in straights today against Hradecka.
I don't know what might happen in that bottom half. We stand a good chance of getting a finalist who is not known for clay prowess.
Ljubicic beat Querrey. It would really cap Verdasco's horrible year if he lost to Ljub.
I don't see Rafa taking this title. He seems vulnerable. Yes, he came back against Anduhar, but what was he doing down 1-5 in the first place!
I suppose last year at Wimbledon he struggled initially but played wonderful quarter/semi/and final matches to take the title. So it IS possible he can recover and play well. But with Novak waiting on the other side ... it's a new and stiffer challenge than before.
Clement stands a break up in the third against Berrer. I wonder if a win here propels him back into the top 100?

so how did rafa turned it around? Was he waiting for 1-5 to start playing? Anduhar is good. He was finishing points at the net and he was playing quite aggressively. Rafa's defensive skills were sorely tested. But he was a wall on the setpoints and eventually drew the errors he needed to rally. Pablo's last chance at it probably went when he missed an easy overhead at 5-4 deuce after running Rafa all over the court. He may have gotten a bit tired at the end, too.

I may have jinxed Melzer. I said with Almagro's loss he has no excuse not to get back to the quarters. Of course now he is on the verge of falling to Rosol. Down 0-2 in the fifth.
AMG and ex-Groth appears to be very keenly contested. It's 7-6 (5) 4-4 for Gajdosova.
Clement dropped set three 5-7. A long way to go to win in five when you're 33.
They are showing Chardy-Simon and it's easy to see why Chardy should be good. He has a great forehand that he can dictate a match with. But as usual it's a question of consistency.
Also, I didn't realize that Chardy is the junior Wimbledon 2005 champ.

Azarenka heard me and allowed Parmentier just one game. Nicely done.
Gajdosova wins with a break in the final game, 7-6 6-4. Next she plays Petkovic.
I admit I haven't watched that much coverage but it seems to me like nobody's talking about Azarenka as the one to beat. I think her chance of winning is greater than Sharapova's, say.

^ uh, no. I do not rate Azza's chances at all, to take ANY Slam title. She always manages to look impressive versus early round scrubs but when it comes to the crunch. I would say Jankovic has a better chance at taking the title than her.

Also, I would say she has a slightly smaller chance of taking the title than Maria. Just... no.
Oh God it's going to happen now.

So one of Kubot, Falla, Chelala and Rosol will make the QF I had no idea Rosol was such a flamboyant basher.

I also did not expect Leonardo to be the last Mayer standing.
I think the Azza/Kvitty QF will decide the title, though Sharapova's definitely in that mix too. I can totally see Fran as the top half finalist!

I never take Azza seriously anymore, because as soon as I start thinking she's looking good to take a title, she gets another random injury and retires. I learned my lesson, now I'll think of her only if she gets to the SF at the least.

Although I love Kvitty and Fran, I'd prefer a Sharapova or Azarenka title. In that order. We need Maria winning Slams again. Azarenka winning a Slam would be good too but not as big as Maria winning one.

Sharapova winning slams again would help me transition from watching women's tennis twice to zero times a year. I know; it's a nightmare. Especially THIS Slam. Meanwhile, Rafa Speaks: I am not playing that well,'' said Nadal, who has spent 7 hours, 19 minutes on court. "I am not happy, but I am here.'' I don't like the new, doubting Rafa and I hope he goes away soon and lets the old Rafa come back. And bring back the old Fed, while you're at it. And a new, non-choking Caroline Garcia.

Sharapova winning slams again would help me transition from watching women's tennis twice to zero times a year. The Cult would despise it, but it'd be good for the game. People would finally recognize a RG winner instead of the "Who is she?" response which our world #1 tends to get as well. Based on personal preferences Maria's my big favourite. I'd be thrilled with Fran winning again. I wouldn't mind Kvitova or Azarenka winning. Caro can NOT win. And the only reason I haven't mentioned Lady JaJa is because she doesn't have a hope in hell.
