Dolgirlpolov's speed still astonishes me. Opponent hits ostensible winner and he's, like, INSTANTLY there. Also, players who can control rallies with backhand slices Still hasn't got rid of the ponytail

Dolgo's put together such a highlights reel in this match that it feels odd that he's about to lose it. Troicki's solidity beating Dolgo's flair

ouch! I hope it won't affect him. He's getting taped up to go back in, so at least it's not a Hingis-type ankle injury.

Dolgo's put together such a highlights reel in this match that it feels odd that he's about to lose it. Troicki's solidity beating Dolgo's flair TTC does not feel like we need even a glimpse of that match. More important that we watch Andy's ankle get taped.

I'm getting coverage of Nadal's match and well, he's really not winning this year. Such unconvincing play.
I'm hoping the injury doesn't botch up Andy's Wimbledon hopes. I don't really see him as a contender here - even though he's in Nadal's half and Nadal is playing awful, Andy's been struggling as well.
Kvitova, Azarenka and Li advance to the Round of 16. Hurley's Kanepi down a set to Makarova. So now we have Kvitova-Li for a spot in the QF.

Serving at *3-5 down, Dolgo's so far given us
- a dropshot-lob-smash combo - Serve-volleying on a second serve to save a MP - Clean dropshot winner - Huge FH DTL winner to save another MP
Commentator quite perceptive in noting that he relies too much on his hands, and not his feet - footwork is quite lazy and responsible for many of his more random errani.

Dolgo saves another two MPs with aces, and a fifth with a BH pass following a dropshot

DF then BH dumped in the net, sixth MP...Troicki nets a FH. This game is too much.

Del Potro did rather better than I thought he would, though. I didn't think he would win a set.
Looking ahead for Djokovic, Gasquet should be easy. Whoever emerges in the quarterfinals should also be easy. He'll have a match on his hands in the semis, be it Federer or Ferrer, but he surely would start as the favorite in that match.

Isn't it odd that Chela, just a few months short of his 32nd birthday, is having his second-best French Open of his career? If he were to beat the Kubot-Falla winner, it would match his best ever RG result. If Murray is really hurt, this section of the draw might get really weird. I'm disappointed that Dolgopolov lost because he's the one I wanted through there. Now it might be Troicki ... or Kubot. Petko prevails in three. Nice win. Her next match against Kirilenko/Rus may be the easiest one for her so far. Simon seems set to come through here very easily. He could be tough for Soderling. He seems like a player who could use the French crowd instead of getting overawed by it. Anyway, the media will be put out. You know they were dying to write 2,412,488 "An American in Paris" articles about Fish if he won today.

Radwanska has declared she plays tennis to have a flat stomach and nice ass and also to impress boys. I think that's the ultimate point of tennis.

For some reason, I'm more surprised that it's Simon's first time in the RG 4R than Wussquet's.
Yes, good win for Petkorazzi. Gajdosova was a dangerous opponent. Andrea will be a tougher potential QF opponent for Sharapova, too.
A-Rad is a card.

I think Petkorazzi's too self-aware for that to happen. She's already cut out the dancing, and I think the more low-key, sardonic elements to her personality are more key than the jester shit she pulls. If anything, it's her mechanical game and ugly strokes that will grate. That was the first Slam 3R match she won properly Jovanovski, Hradecka, Gajdosova is about as tough a path to a Slam second week as you could get here, really.

She danced after her win today!
Yes, her path to round 4 has been brutal and she has done it losing only one set which is very solid.
From what I just saw, it seems Radwanska's game has really improved. She has some offense now. She hits a good serve now and then and she CAN hit winners when inclined.

Petko's new dance is more of a moonwalk on clay - she's gotten rid of her original dance with the wiggle or whatever that monstrosity was.

Hmm, hadn't known about the new Petkodance. She said she was quitting it in Miami.
Marino and Chan may have lost their 3Rs, but it's interesting they made it so far in the first place...both so anti-clay that they didn't bother playing a proper clay season, yet both ending up having credible runs. Wonder how much of that is down to their not putting pressure on themselves to perform, or whether the RG courts are really playing much faster than usual.
