Warning: This draw is setting up for another Ivo run. I'd bet he at least reaches next Monday.

I wouldn't be surprised, I dithered between Ivo and Tipsy for my pick in that section and obviously picked the wrong tard

Ughhhh Nishikori just totally fucked up serving at *5-4 40-0 there, two double faults and the hideous sound of a Hewitt C'MAWWWWWWN as he broke back. Horrible.

Women's tennis is rife among the men right now. Nishikori continues to fuck this set up (what is WRONG with him why can't he play well EVER these days), Flake outchoked Baggy and Niland (IRL) lost despite being up a double break and having huge crowd support.

Nice for Caravane, but too bad we know the wheels will be coming off soon. Did I give you a new phrase?

LOL @ Jankovic. So awesome, though. Now she'll lose 4r points which probably means a further ranking drop. I hope somehow she exits the top 20. But you know she'll be back. Stosur losing to Czink is just horrible. Worst loss of her entire year? Did not expect BoJo losing to Halep. Do not expect Halep to defeat Serena. Maybe Vinci in round 3? Paszek d. Morita is an ok win for her. Razzano d. Mirza is good for Woz. I think Mirza was the more dangerous player. Dancevic in danger of losing a two sets to love lead to Mello. Petzschner broke in the second but Soderling has BP.

Petzschner must be 0 for 93933382 break points in Toad's last two service games

Vinci beating Serena in R3 would be seriously impressive, given that Vinci is two quarters away from her in the draw.

Petzschner loses the set from *4-2 up. Funny how Women's Tennis has afflicted so many dudes in this tournament but not actually any women yet, as far as I know.

Frankie blew a two set lead and lost to Mello Yello, of all people.

I really want Mahut to win this, but he is just so terrible at returning anything. Sigh.

Ward is doing little to justify my vote of confidence. Not is Nishikori, although I have not yet given up on that one.

CAKE is absolutely killing one of the Pliskovas, who is dreadful.

Isn't Chakvetadze a former "top player"?
Her strokes are ugly, she really has a unique forehand

Um. Has Maria changed her service motion again?
Maybe it's because I saw some old video of her the other day... but it looks different to what I remember even maybe last year. Hmph.

You know it's bad when CAKE makes you look slow. At least the Pliskovas are pretty.

It was like the Pliskova could hit perfectly drilled strokes from a standing position but the minute she was asked to deviate from that, she just...couldn't.

A common problem for juniors. So many are either pushers, or bashers that never had to hit on the run.
Webley-Smith is wearing a bright pink bra under a white shirt. Sigh. Also, she likes slicing her FH often.

Yeah, I had no idea Webley-Smith was a slice-and-dropshots player. Chak looks so pale and thin and drawn

Speaking of Woz, her average first serve speed today was faster than Mahut's.
