Winners: Lisicki 49, Bartoli 11. That's why it shouldn't be that close! And why I still don't count Marion out. Sabine can self-destruct.

Why Cake shouts C'mon totally in Sabine's face? Her staff is at her side right now, no?

Looks like Cake decided to self-destruct instead.

Oof, that overhead was sad. This CAKE has collapsed in the oven.

2 break points for Sabine. Yeah, Marion, maybe you shouldn't have aimed that smash at Sabine, lol.
5-1, Sabine is serving for the match, again.

Both of them stretching their legs, yikes...

Sabine is stretching her legs as well. 30-30
C'mon Sabine! You can't blow it again, you just can't!

A nice hug in the end! Congrats Sabine! Great match! Thanks for not wasting that Li Na upset!

Oh Cake. What a shame.

Now that Cake is out, Evil Queen Masha must win. I won't be disappointed with a Kvitova win but full support for Masha now.

CAKE A great run, though. I hope she can keep it up for the rest of the year, she's on track to reach Top 5. Good for Sabine, she seems like a nice kid. And she can absolutely win this title.

Yes! And lovely of them to walk off together. CAKE is the best. Haters to the left or whatever.

I guess I don't mind that result - Lisicki looks like a better player and Bartoli sort of creeps me out. I'm not sure I could have watched her again.

Opta already had their stats ready, lol
OptaFranz 52 - Sabine Lisicki hit 52 winners in her 3 sets victory over Marion Bartoli, who hit just 12 in the match. Thump.

Just got in. Alas, poor Cake When I remembered the women's 4R and QF were on consecutive days I did suddenly realise fatigue would be a factor. No excuses...Cake should have taken care of LDL, certainly, in less time. But I hate Stupid Sunday even more. OK go go go Domi.

What's the plan for the hapless players in the QFs scheduled for Court 1?

1-6 7-6 7-5 again please Domi?

Gotta think that if any play will be possible today they'll keep them on No 1, so they don't have to refund those ticket-holders. Obviously they should move them to Centre if it's still raining when this match is over, though.

That's what I'm hoping.
So glad I did not hold out any hope for Cibulkova.

So glad Maria is thrashing Cibulkova. Hope she continues in the second and wraps it up quickly. I have a wedding to go to.

On the plus side, getting to beat Maria in the final will lend more credibility to a Kvitova title than beating Lisicki or Cibulkova would!

Kvitova breaks at love with 3 return winners. She spoke with Jana Novotna while waiting for the match to start.

Kvitova breaks at love with 3 return winners. She spoke with Jana Novotna while waiting for the match to start. Now Jana was my first favourite player but she needs to keep herself and her choking vibes away from Kvitty right now.

Indeed, she's Super Kvitty today. If she keeps the ball in, she's #1.

Ok, so is Maria too good and Domi too bad? All I got is that Domi should have challenged on that break point, cause it was in by a whisker.

Ok, so is Maria too good and Domi too bad? Yes it's both. And SuperKvitty indeed. She's serving at 4-1.
