Q. Are you ready for the Wimbledon ball, the dress, the makeup?
PETRA KVITOVA: No. It will be tomorrow.
Q. Will you be dancing a lot?
PETRA KVITOVA: Dancing? Sorry, I can't dancing.
THE MODERATOR: We don't dance anymore. A smart dinner, but no dancing.
Q. What sort of reception do you expect when you go back home?
PETRA KVITOVA: Well, I don't know. I don't think about this. I'm looking forward I see them, for sure.
Q. I'm sure they'll be pleased to see you.
PETRA KVITOVA: Yeah. Probably, yes.

Yeah I don't see why she wouldn't go to the ball. If you can win Wimbledon and speak in front of tens of thousands of people, and then do press conferences, you can go to dinner and sit and hold your trophy for pictures.

The most off putting thing about Novak is all the things he used to do in order to "being liked" Like putting on a Benfica shirt when he was here back in 2007 to win the Estoril Open. He got booed bigtime for that, even though c. 85% of the Portuguese population consists of Benfica stans.

Boring final. I can't really be bothered to care about anyone on the mens' side now I don't think. Too bad Murray sux. It would have been nice to see him win here. Maybe one day. Also, LOL @ Tim Henman's shade towards Justin Gimleslob when he camera showed him in the Royal Box: "they must have been short on numbers in the Royal Box today" ;D But serious WTF @ them letting him in there Has he won the mixed with like Penis?

Back! Very happy with the result. A child got hold of the remote control at the party at the start of the third set and managed to pause the TV (I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD DO THAT) - we managed to unpause it but not forward to where it presumably would have been live, so I had to take myself off the internet. Last two sets are more of a blur for me than the first two (drunk) but great stuff Djokovic etc etc, I think the one thing that characterises both our new Wim champions is ability to put adversity behind them. Highly satisfied with this years Wimbledon generally

Check out the getty photos of Melzer and Benesova after their win - she looks like she's on drugs. For serious.

I watched. It was okay. This result is fine. I had to explain to my friends that this result was not entirely unexpected, and that Nadal is having a better start to the year than either Fed or Nadal ever have, so... fine. Congrats, Djokovic country! By first Nadal you mean Novak? Yes. I see now how dumb my post was. I think that Nadal is somewhat less of the gigantic putz that Roger is, so I think he'll be fine. Had he also lost RG to Novak then I might worry. Thanks, Roger! Anyway, I watched the final with British people, so then British people totally failed at holding a trophy ceremony, I told them how pumped I was for London 2012. It's going to be so awful it will be amazing

... did we go the entire fortnight without anybody wanting to have sex with Novak's brother? Have we matured?

About 100 000 people gathered tonight in downtown Belgrade to welcome Novak. And his family, including grandparents, uncles, aunts and girlfriend. Seriously. There was also a 50 meter long Serbian flag there. Someone also carried a placard that said "Nole is loyal to the Cyrillic". That one was especially amusing.

I see him every day in a TV commercial starring Novak, even though he only shows up for a couple of seconds. But meh, he hasn't turned out to be all that.

I wanted to yesterday, but I forgot to post about it. Phew. I was confused there for a moment. Glad to see that we're all still a bit gross! I see him every day in a TV commercial starring Novak, even though he only shows up for a couple of seconds. But meh, he hasn't turned out to be all that. Except for Edna. She's an adult.

What's up with Marko these days, anyway? He's only played two tournaments this year and sucked before that anyway. Is he looking for a profession he's good at now?

He hurt his arm after Dubai. His results improved enough last year to where he could be a top 300ish player. He's better than Elke Clijsters, at least. Marko hits the big 20 next month, so he may be done, I don't know.
The little brother is supposed to be good, though.
