That is how I used to meet other men when I was in Turkey. It took some getting used to, but it's just as normal as a handshake after a while.

Kvitty had a groin injury during Wimbledon, and she always had her awful moments where she couldn't keep anything in the court. She's also still very much a work in progress. Also, her attitude showed she cared, even early on she was sour and getting pissed with herself. Petra knows she's not playing well now, and she doesn't like it. She has to work on maintaining her level when things aren't going well.
As for "calling it a day", tennis is wonderful in that you have to continue earning your money and endorsements (unless you're really hot). If I was a football player, I understand those players who wind down after the big contract are numerous.

Many players say their goal in tennis is to win a Grand Slam title. And after winning that title, wouldn't someone be like - OK this game is over, I have just won what I always aimed for, I'll get one big nasty paycheck that will be enough till the end of the days. Now I can move on and see what more is there to life. I'm of course being silly here, but I always imagined myself - If I ever won the Olympic gold or a Grand Slam for that matter, I wouldn't feel the need to continue. No matter how many golds or Grand Slam titles I can win, the pure ecstasy and the feelings at the time of holding my first trophy can not be repeated again, not to that degree. And in that sense it would be pointless to keep going. I'm like you. I even quit playing that TF 10K game after reaching number one for a couple of weeks! ;D But I don't like professional athletes to be like you, or me, or Majoli or Myskina. I want them to be driven, not just by the love of winning (eg, Serena, I've always thought), but by the love of this sport and the unquenchable drive to keep improving, to finally actually perfect their game, like Graf, Nav, Seles, Henin, Rafa.

"Colombia's Alejandro Falla provided a huge boilover as he ousted 15th seed Viktor Troicki in an epic five set match. The pair were on court for almost four hours, with Falla ultimately edging out the Sebian 3-6 6-3 4-6 7-5 7-5. "

If I was a football player, I understand those players who wind down after the big contract are numerous. You said it best after the Wimbledon victory: Kvitty will have bad losses to everyone. I've seen enough of her, when she goes off, it's bad. Even worse than Demented bad. I hope the expectations don't get to Petra, because she WILL have losses to like Vesna Dolonts. LOL at having selected Dolonts. Apparently she was super-pissed after this performance, so she'll keep working. The risk is working in the wrong direction...she should embrace her game. Yes, she went out 1R here, but she won Wimbledon, plus a big clay event and a medium-sized hardcourt event. What she's doing works anywhere -- eventually the wins will greatly outweigh the Dulgheru losses (which would have been an understandable loss had it happened four months ago). YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ZE LAST OF PETRA KVITOVA

Barring injury, Kvitty will be fine. She's much too talented and mentally strong to just fade away, especially with the current state of SEWTA.

And I thought YOU meant that you got used to kissing men on the lips in Turkey! I kept trying to picture janiehub getting used to such a thing but could not, and all I could think was, Ali is so adaptable!

I kept trying to picture janiehub getting used to such a thing but could not, and all I could think was, Ali is so adaptable! Haha! Unfortunately, I'm not THAT adaptable. A kiss on both cheeks is adaptable enough for me. Ahh okay! I thought it only appeared that way because Gael wasn't expecting a kiss on the cheek. You are of course correct, but that doesn't make the gif any less funny. This is true!

Kvitty is sucking. I'm curious as to how Corswandt would react to this loss, though. By proclaiming that she'll never ever win anything big on hardcourt? Only on super-fast surfaces? By popular demand: www.tennisforum.com/showpost.php?p=20142208&postcount=158 Allez c'mon. How did 'Martha' start? A Sharapova fan started using “Martha Sharapova” in the match score thread titles at TF sometime around her laughable performances at Auckland in January. I guess I just see nothing concerning about Kvitty's form, hardcourts or not. She was out for almost a month, celebrating her slam win. It was well documented that she attended every possible event there is. Don't think she trained much in that period. Her victory tour lasted only a couple of days, actually. Less than a week after Wimbledon, she was already at fitness camp up in the Carpathians. She didn't practice much because she had that torn muscle in her thigh to heal. Of course the Carpathian interlude, and later Prostejov, were far from ideal preparation for the US events, played in hot, humid, heavy conditions at near sea level.
