2 breaks up. Serena is full blown gesticulating, what the fuck is this shit, mode. At least that's fun to watch. We all know how this will end..

Yeah, whenever something like this happens, she squeaks out the win, and then beats Top Ten players in the final three rounds with bagels and breadsticks. I wouldn't really complain if that happened this time, sadly.

Yes, Hurley.
How dare she make improvements to her game and exceed our lowly expectations of her. Outragious! But of course, if you only see what you want to see, then Errani indeed stood still while 43 unforced errors went whizzing by. Yep. That's exactly what happened in this and her other 3 matches.

Who let Jeff Tarango become a tennis commentator?
Any punters for the final score?
2-6 6-4 6-1 (Makarova will obviously be up 4-1)

Big wins over Savinkyh, Petrova, and Cirstea too. She must have improved! Anyway, YES, you were right, I was wrong, she was not a Bye. I am surprised and proven incorrect. You win flowers and candy which I will have shipped to Germany It doesn't mean I will believe she is now a brilliant tennis star of Wozniacki proportions, but she is more than willing to continue to prove me wrong.

girls, girls, you're both good judges of tennis player potential. Let's not fight over this.
Meanwhile I'm retracting my earlier guess. Serena seems to be getting into steamroller mode now. Time for some baked goods.

I'm not fighting! I'm FedExing shit as we speak!
I'm way more concerned about this Tsonga match anyway. Why is he sukking.

All I'm saying is that when we don't allow players to improve and surprise us, we might as well stop watching. Take someone like Stosur from mid-late 2000's and you will never be able to make sense of her USO win.
But now, on to something more important: Serena hopefully losing.

I DEFINITELY remembering LOLing and trolling up a storm when David Taylor said Stosur would win a Slam like...three years ago. So, see, I'm wrong all the time. But I'm funny and adorable and everyone loves me.
I am concerned, though. Kim rolling an ankle...Serena possibly out...Shiitra everywhere you don't want her to be...I'm scared that this could end with YOU KNOW WHAT.

Errani winning a Slam?

|
Post by Wagasi on Jan 22, 2012 23:27:24 GMT -5
No need for concern. Serena's built a career on winning these kinds of matches. Kim's built a case for beatification on bullshitting her way late into slams with life threatening injuries. Obviously.
I'm kind glad Bepa didn't make it this far. She would've already somehow ruined everything and drowned us in tears.

Dumb play from Makarova on GP. Why try to wrong-foot Serena when she isn't moving.
That was much better though. But another error. Grrrr.

Thanks to Kaia and Vera for allowing this to happen. Agreed. First I miss the Giants win in OT to put them into the Super Bowl. Now I miss this. I should have quit last summer like I had planned but it will be nice to not have credit card debt I guess. Still
