I'd say Nishikori has Tsonga's number now. 2-0 versus him and I think he beat him in Kooyong? It's great to see him breakthrough.
You guys know Serena losing clears the way for Maria. Kvitova CAN beat her but I bet she doesn't. Maria is in much better form.
I, personally, want to see the Wozpocalypse.

Kei breakthrough is shocking to me. Sure, he's a great athlete, but I never thought he had the shots. Well, good for him.
KvittyGOAT beats Maria, but she hasn't shown that level yet. Although, improving since the match she should have lost to CSN. Hopefully Petra explodes in the batting practice against Errani.

Watched Petra-Ana last night, I like both of them, but very happy with the outcome. For me it's always encouraging when she wins matches without entering either GOATra or SHITra modes for long periods. For most of the match it was a very solid performance, I like that.
Those 8 points in a row lost after missing that smash were worrying, but again - impressive how she got herself together and served great at 5-6. After Justine it's so unusual to have a fave player who can serve steadily.
Will watch Masha-Sabine now, let's see if Sabine can get more then 3 games.

Lisicki breaks and finally wins a game. 3-1 Masha, she seems to have dealt with her serve problems.

Wow, Serena hit 4 double faults in 1 game today? Even her serve left her?
And Lisicki breaks to love 3-3, hmmm.

UM WTF HAPPENED WHILE I WAS SLEEPING WHAT ARE THESE RESULTS? ? I am talking about Errani d. Zheng 6-2 6-1 obviously. THREE GAMES JIE? I'm so happy for Nishikori. Never thought that would happen. Since his injury, every time I watched him he seemed to have lost the flair of his early years that made me think he might be able to put up elite results. Guess it's not TSONGATIME after all. And...how does Makarova d. Serena happen? FIVE GAMES LOST? I am amazed and have been given SO MUCH LIFE. This is like...Serena fans getting to know how Bepa fans feel. At least Wussquet going down without a fight restores some normality to proceedings, lulz.

Makarova made two Slam 4Rs last year. Aside from those two runs, her 2011 W/L record was 9-21 (4-13 post-RG). Saving herself for the Slams like Silliams.

LOL Lisick held her serve for 4-3 after saving a break point. Weird stuff. Still upset about Tsonga loss, I didn't even have high hopes for him cause Djokovic is winning this slam, but still...

Y'all are overstating Shitra btw. She comes and goes but Petra wins matches despite her. (Against BAG she only came for that three-game spell - and then Petra swept the match when she had to.)

Sharapova lost just 5 games before this match. She was up 3-0 with 2 breaks and Lisicki won just 2 points. Then I started watching and Lisicki won 6 straight games, saving break points on her serve and winning the set 6-3

Q. When do you think you'll play next?
SERENA WILLIAMS: I don't know. I don't know. I'm gonna play Fed Cup. I look forward to that. Gosh, I was just thinking I want to pick up a tournament because I did so awful here. There's no tournaments, unless I pick up Indian Wells, and we all know I'm not going there (smiling). It crossed my mind very briefly, like a nanosecond.
Q. You can play on clay in Acapulco.
SERENA WILLIAMS: Yeah? I'm not that desperate. Maybe I'll just work out for a long time.
Um, Indian Wells zing, whatever, but is she throwing shade at VENUS there?! Calling her own sister desperate!

Sharapova is hitting her groove now 3-1 (I'll blame it on Alex tuning in ) Old pervs on Eurosport can't stop commenting about Maria's 'passion'.

My Eurosport commentators just keep bitching about Maria's noise, saying it's worse than ever before and the rules should be changed and the crowd's gonna get on her back. I concur x 3.

6-2 Sharapova, btw.
Will the crowd get on her back though? I thought they only did it to Azarenka.

Doubt it. They're pro-Sabine though.
Having missed the first set, I haven't seen anything from Sabine that might indicate she can win this. Off.

Q. Looking at other Russian girls, there were some more than the others that inspired you or you would like to imitate, or there's none? EKATERINA MAKAROVA: I can say that my idol was Anastasia Myskina. I really love her game. I didn't want to look like her, but just wanted maybe to play because I really love her game.
