Heidi El-Tabakh must continue to win.
I knew about Petra's alopecia. Too bad she didn't qualify since I am a fan of sorts.
And Dulko losing in qualies? She stretched CAKE to 3 sets in the 3rd/4th round just last year.

Um, the Devil Child lost to MALEK? Bad, no-good, terrible loss. Funny that Malek has beaten both the obnoxious prodigies in that section though. Karolina Pliskova vs. Laura Robson will be the opposite of Cohen vs. Davis. Latisha beating Hlavackova is a mild shock. Qualifying round, potential debutantes bolded. Two 2012 titlists among them, and three guaranteed (1) Kiki Bertens vs. Madalina GojneaYung-Jan Chan vs. Veronica Cepede RoygYaroslava Shvedova vs. Elena BogdanAlexa Glatch vs. (14) Sesil Karatantcheva (5) Heather Watson vs. Anna Floris(6) Eva Birnerova vs. Sandra ZaniewskaDinah Pfizenmaier vs. Monica PuigCamila Giorgi vs. Heidi El Tabakh Julia Cohen vs. Lauren Davis (10) Garbine Muguruza Blanco vs. (21) Lara Arruabarrena Vecino(11) Karolina Pliskova vs. (15) Laura Robson Shuai Zhang vs. Tatjana Malek Gooooo Gojnea, Latisha, Shvedova, Thunder, Watson, Zaniewska, Pfizenmaier, HET, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, Cleansing White Mug, Robson, Zhang.

I know Lara AV has come a long way, but I never expected her to win this one. But she did! 60 76(7). There will be no cleansing this year at RG after all.

Heh, both of the 2012 titlists in the qualies made it through. Surprised Upstairs Neighbor beat the White Mug, though. Ka. Pliskova hasn't yet made a Slam main draw? So it was Kr. Pliskova who got the last "you won juniors" Wimbledon WC? Or was whatever Pliskova the first one in a while to get snubbed... Funny, I see two former RG quarterfinalists in there and they are now both Fake KAZ.

Cohen "leads" Davis 6-1 0-5 :atrocity:

Cohen pulls it back to 4-5*.
Looking over the Q spots to figure out where JULIA FUCKING COHEN will be most hilarious. I'm sure there are some girls who will be thrilled to lose to her and prolong the lulz.

Davis An unlikely (and not particularly pleasant) heroine.

I deleted the pic due to its unfortunate elephantiasis. It showed a French "Tabac" sign as a tribute to RG qualifier El Tabakh (CAN).

Davis An unlikely (and not particularly pleasant) heroine. I wanted Cohen to get in. Oh, well, at least there'll be one less shrieker on the grounds. I don't know what people's problem with Davis is. Do you? I watched her play recently and she wasn't acting up at all.

Well done Ka. Pliskova, HET, Pfizenmaier and Chan for qualifying, and Thunder for nor qualifying. Birnerova.

Ka. Pliskova hasn't yet made a Slam main draw? So it was Kr. Pliskova who got the last "you won juniors" Wimbledon WC? Or was whatever Pliskova the first one in a while to get snubbed... Karolina won Junior AO (and she beat the same opponent in that final as in her Q3 match here - Robson). Kristyna won Junior Wimbledon and got snubbed, but qualified (and then got absolutely trashed by CAKE in one of the most one-sided matches I've ever watched). Barty won Junior Wimbledon last year - is she even allowed to receive three Slam WCs in one year? Also surprised that LAV won the Battle of Young Spain!

Kristyna won Junior Wimbledon and got snubbed Sorta. She still got a WC for Q. I suppose Lertcheewakarn will be the last junior English Open winner to get a MD WC the next year.

Barty feels like a MDWC this year, though, even if she hadn't won it.

I was thinking more about whether Barty's reached her WC limit. If she hasn't, I'm sure she'll be a MD WC - unlike KrisPlis and Lurch, it's not as if she was an 18-year-old when she won it.
18-year-old carpetbaggers notwithstanding I still think junior Slam winners should get automatic MD WCs the following year.

I was thinking more about whether Barty's reached her WC limit. Right, I was responding to Corswandt's post. I kind of...skipped a bunch before that. Is there a Slam limit on WCs? I know there is a...regular limit. Sometimes (see: Lisicki) (see: Venus) (see: anyone the SEWTA wants to bend the rules for).
