Without displacing any of the other matches, Sharapova-Morita has been shoved into the Suzanne Lenglen schedule, up 2nd, but "pas avant 12h30". So this time it'll be Azarenka waiting in the twilight to see if she'll be going on or not. Conspiracy theorists are going to have a field day with this development!

Serbian commentator was PISSED when he saw the first match on Chatrier. "Such injustice! I better keep my thoughts to myself, they are not suitable for live transmission." Another conspiracy against Our Nole But Mathilde is the pride and joy of France. Surely the Serbs would put fellow Serbs on center court over mere #1s/multiple Slam holders.

Why is no one talking about how there are no USian men into the third round AGAIN? Did I miss one? Is it because Isner tried really hard? Or is it because the women faked everyone out for a day and a half?
Last time they wouldn't shut up about it.

Now it's expected. As I told you a couple days ago, in tennis the US is now Canada, and we're getting used to it. Hence the absurd level of excitement at players winning first-round matches, even against scrubs. O USA, maple leafs we are!

It's funny how quickly Tennis Channel turned around. FIRST ROUND GREATNESS to Christina McHale might win. Ignoring that she only beat Lauren Davis. And thanks again, Mona.

Azarenka leads Wozniak 2-1 H2H, but they haven't played since 2006. In none of their matches were either player in the Top 100.
MJMS leads Cibulkova 2-0 H2H, 4-0 in sets, both matches in Moscow, '09 and '10. When Cibulkova does not play MJMS in Moscow, she wins the event.
I think Kerber-Pennetta is the most intriguing women's match of the day. Yes Kerber got her in the USO QF last year, but Flav won the other two, including the SF of Auckland this year. It's a tough draw for the player everyone and their mother (Martina Nav) expects to get to the SF here.

Canada is still celebrating wins in the first round of 25k. But Milosh is slowly changing that. Dan Marino too but then she burned out and disappeared from the face of the earth. Anyway, maybe it's time for the US to go all KAZ on the tennis world.

I'm surprised no one's really pointing to Nadezhda/Stosur as a potential upset. Nadia's record against her is superb. No sympathy for Marino either. Oh boo hoo you couldn't take the pressure of being a top 50 player and obviously don't need to earn money to live. What a loss. Watch Nando somehow lose to Seppi
