Yep, reminding me that I turned 30 two months ago as well. I enjoyed those reminders much more when we were in our early 20s.
Happy belated birthday! This board is filled with '82 babies!

They put Djokovic on instead of Azarenka! Hmmmmmm. I guess they thought Novak is guaranteed to go at least 3 sets, whereas Vika could still go 2.

Where is Roger's inside-in forehand? They have all been inside-out today. He tried to go inside-in last point and it clipped the tape.
Break point nonetheless.

Ugh can't believe I didn't see any of today's five-setters.
But that was my LAST DAY OF OFFICE WORK for the foreseeable future and I intend to REST ON MY LAURELS with the ££££ I've earned for the rest of the summer tennis season. And never fucking book a sub-editing shift for a Slam week ever again.

Did we all see the Wussquet/Di Mitrov point that left the former vomiting and the latter cramping? www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6n1VGZIlx0And once the initial awe (and it was a great point) dissipates, did the bitches in us all think: before the end of the SECOND set? Really? WORK ON YOUR FITNESS, BOYS. And then did the pervs in us all think about what good fortune it was that Di Mitrov's cramps entailed his shorts coming halfway down? DAT ASS.

I was watching that match -- I think I even posted "Grigor is down" or something, at the time -- and yeah, I did think that about his fitness. My stream didn't show Wuss vomiting so I didn't even know that happened. Then Grigor kept cramping but kept playing, and it looked so painful I couldn't stand to keep watching, and assumed he'd retire soon. Never figured out how he recovered enough to go 2 more sets, but whatever treatment it was he had, everyone who cramps should try it. I also couldn't help but think how much different Wuss's career might have been if only he had shoulders.

My commentators telling us that Fed is no longer #1 because he loses his focus. I don't like that argument and I don't agree with it. He does mess around in matches like this (poor idea if you ask me) but never in matches against Nadal or Djokovic. True. He's always dicked around when he gets easy early draws like this. Which does get annoying, there was no reason for him to keep Mahut around in that match, even with him serving well.

NB: Hmmm, that's a tough question. I think I would love to meet some person from the past. Maybe Pushkin. I can imagine only ED ever answering that way.

"Kubot, a net rusher, grew so weary of seeing his deep volleys and approach shots get transformed into gold by Goffin’s deft hands that he watched one winner fly by late in the third set. He stared long and hard at Goffin, and then spat in his direction. The spittle came nowhere near the young Belgian, but Kubot was given a code violation by the chair umpire and was booed long and hard by the primarily Belgian crowd."
