I remember Amelie's SF against Lindsay at the 1999 AO. She was very powerful and she overpowered Lindsay. A shame about the back, but her new playing style was beautiful to watch.

Hingis/Davenport rack up another win. They could probably win the real Women's Doubles but this is way easier and probably more fun for them, I suppose.

She almost had a win over Jankovic once, at IW '10 I believe. Oh, I see there's been another "She plays like a man!!!!1" scandal today. So weird to remember the days when AMELIE was the player people feared would bulldoze SEWTA with her power. And now she's a byword for forgotten finesse. Errani also took Davenport to a 7-5 third set at the AO, I believe, though that was in Davenport's post-baby career. Amelie's game did change, though! I swear, she was a much different player in 1999 than in 2006.
