It's hard to find a favorite in the Williams-Azarenka match.
I wonder if Serena is going to be tired tomorrow with all the doubles.

Call me crazy considering their history, but I think Azza is the strong favorite. She negates Serena's serve well enough. And I assume she won't be on her period like the Madrid final, which I probably shouldn't do.

I sort of meant a sentimental favorite. They are both fuckin' biatches!
As for who will win, I have no idea. Azarenka is a much better player now than she has ever been. That's a plus in her column. However, Serena thumped her in Madrid and beat her pretty handily at the USO last year (and in Toronto). And we all know what happens when Serena has the chance to embarrass a reigning #1 - bad shit goes down. I just hope for everybody's sake that it won't be Serena 1 and 1.
I hope Aza comes to play and earns a big win, perhaps closing Serena's chapter at the top of the game.

Goooooo Silliams. Goooooo A-Rad, though I won't be mad if Care Bear wins. The most competitive H2H among the potential finalists is actually the dread must-be-avoided-at-all-costs Vika/A-Rad one A-Rad's first ever Slam win came over Vika Williams leads Radwanska 2-0 QF Wimbledon 2008 S Williams(6) - A Radwanska(14) 6-4 6-0 3 Berlin 2008 S Williams(5) - A Radwanska(11) 6-3 6-1 Williams leads Kerber 1-0 1 US Open 2007 S Williams(8) - A Kerber 6-3 7-5 Azarenka leads Kerber 1-0 SF Indian W. 2012 V Azarenka(1) - A Kerber(18) 6-4 6-3 Azarenka leads Radwanska 12-3 SF Madrid 2012 V Azarenka(1) - A Radwanska(4) 6-2 6-4 SF Stuttgart 2012 V Azarenka(1) - A Radwanska(4) 6-1 6-3 QF Indian W. 2012 V Azarenka(1) - A Radwanska(5) 6-0 6-2 SF Doha 2012 V Azarenka(1) - A Radwanska(4) 6-2 6-4 QF Australian O. 2012 V Azarenka(3) - A Radwanska(8) 6-7(0) 6-0 6-2 SF Sydney 2012 V Azarenka(3) - A Radwanska(7) 1-6 6-3 6-2 SF Pan Pacif. 2011 A Radwanska(9) - V Azarenka(3) 6-3 4-6 6-2 4 Indian W. 2011 V Azarenka(8) - A Radwanska(9) 4-6 6-3 7-6(3) Fed Cup 2011 V Azarenka - A Radwanska 7-5 7-5 1 Eastbourne 2010 V Azarenka - A Radwanska(4) 7-6(2) 6-1 SF Dubai 2010 V Azarenka(4) - A Radwanska(7) 6-3 6-4 RR Championsh. 2009 A Radwanska - V Azarenka 4-6 7-5 4-1 ret. 2 Stuttgart 2008 V Azarenka - A Radwanska(8) 6-1 7-5 1 Luxembourg 2007 V Azarenka - A Radwanska 4-6 7-5 6-1 1 Wimbledon 2006 A Radwanska-WC - V Azarenka 7-5 6-4

That A-Rad/Azza H2H is weird. Prior to this year, Vika almost always won, but the matches were tough and you wouldn't count Aga out (she had three MPs in that third set TB IW loss, for instance).
Then this year both of them improve immensely against the rest of the tour but I guess Azza improves a lot more and begins owning A-Rad wholly.

And I assume she won't be on her period like the Madrid final, which I probably shouldn't do. I agree. I've obviously been somewhat out of touch with the game for the last few years, but I was actually stunned when I looked up their H2H last night. Setting that aside, I think through the tournament this year Azza has played significantly better than Silliams. If Azza shows up to play, she should win. If it wasn't for Serena's serve, she'd be out of this tournament. Twice.

Don't you just hate it when you're waiting for a match to start and there's some time consuming, meaningless senior Exho doubles match going on. What's the deal with those - no one cares about them.
Can't they send all these Piolines, Rusedskis, Tauziats and Schetts to Florida and have a tournament on their own.

Decided to spice things up and put a "live bet" on Care Bear at 3-3 Deuce in the first... ever since that moment she barely won a point. A quick reminder why Sports Betting is bad for me! Just as well it was a Betfair promotion.

So for the first five points of the second set... FIVE baseline winners. KAMAN

I've had to deal with some life-ruining technological meltdowns today. Amidst them all, I've been very pleased with how A-Rad has played. Care Bear has started both sets really well but A-Rad has weathered those periods superbly.

Care Bear sulking now, though we know from yesterday that's deceptive.

LOL. You knew Radwanska would win that point even as Kerber geared up to smash.

This was EPIC. I just pissed my pants when Kerber just stood at the back of the court and was like "fuck, she's not going to do anything with this, I'm just going to loop it up as high as possible"

Insane defending from A-Rad. Why didn't Kerber play a drop volley there though?

Kerber's shot selection...I just can't. *unfurls help banner* Yes, Her problem is that she goes into 1 mode. It's either very attacking, or very counter-pounchy. She forgets that she can mix it up. Hopefully it will come with more experience. A-Rad doesn't make any errors though Seriously, Aga Radwanska, Wimbledon finalist. Somewhere out there Justine is weeping thinking of what could happen if she faced someone like her in one of those finals.

Davenport commenting on Kerber's attitude in a Wimbledon semi. Hey, Lindsay, 2004. Remember that? You know, when your shoulders were slumped and you were walking around the court LOLing @ Maria's passing shot winners?

I dunno, Justine got to face Past-It Pierce and Sweta in Slam finals, so she can't complain too much.

I dunno, Justine got to face Past-It Pierce and Sweta in Slam finals, so she can't complain too much. I'm talking about Wimbledon only. And considering both of those are multiple Slam winners, it's kinda unfair on them to compare them to ARad.
