Julia Cohen She did earn it, though. It's weird to me that people name their kid Christian. You don't often hear of parents naming kids Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or Atheist.

Oh, I guess I never mentioned to you that our son's name is Zoroastrian. We call him Zorro.

It's very funny how the reciprocal WC bullshit screwed the USTA out of giving WCs to Min and Keys (let alone Davis or Pegula, who would have definitely received home Slam WCs if they were French, Australian or British). None of the six USians who did get WCs are arguable (even Cohen - she reached a WTA final and made the top 100, you can't ignore that; Mattek-Sands is the most questionable but she's been a USian stalwart for too long). But then they have to make room for DELLACQUA and MLADENOVIC, who are deserving of nothing

Also, how weird that Burdette and Gibbs came from absolutely nowhere (I guess they were in college) but have killed everyone this summer with the kind of results you expect from teen phenoms.

One's majoring in Psych and the other's is undeclared. Turning pro would be a good option. [/cynical academic]
